You aren't kidding, we are never going back to the BC!!

Looks fabulous! While my heart is with WDW, Disneyland is a wonderful experience as well and all of the offerings there looked great. :thumbsup2

Thanks! My heart is at DL, but my stomach is all about WDW!!!

You can easily make a meal out of breakfast and dinner. Even the offerings in the mid afternoon could be a meal. Great value at this CL. Also they give you bottled water as the BC and AKL do not.

I did club level at the Polynesian and wasn't terribly impressed but the offerings at BWI look great!

We are booked for the Poly CL in May for something different. I am worried it may not be that great. Would you cancel? It was the only room they had at the Poly with the military discount.

Perhaps I had my expectations too high; some people rave about the Poly CL. I just didn't think the CMs were too friendly(the ones at CSR CL were much friendlier) and the offerings didn't look nearly as appetizing as the ones you posted from BWI. If you're doing it with a good discount, I wouldn't cancel it. And honestly, it seems like CL can be really hit or miss. Not sure if it's the management that's in place at the time but maybe the Poly has improved. It was about 3 years ago when I was there.

Update Time!!

That evening I decided to really wanted to try Flying Fish downstairs from my room. I had heard mixed reviews but I wanted that potato wrapped snapper!! So I found the room in my stomach to go down and give it a try. I went down around 9 and asked to sit at the bar. It was odd they made me wait 10 minutes as bar was totally empty. Once I was seated I was greeted by two friendly bartenders. I decided to order the cucumber martini. Holy moly was this strong. It took the entire meal for me to finish it. The bread and butter service here was nice and the potato wrapped snapper was probably one of the best meals I have ever had. What a perfect dish!! I was so pleased that I tried this and would love to go back with the family after the renovation.

Your dinner looked delicious and that martini looked good too :faint: I would have never been able to finish that :rotfl:
Glad you got in before the refurb! I am looking forward to see how it will be after it re-opens :goodvibes

Flying Fish is one of my favorites and I've always gotten really good service there, especially when dining solo. Glad you enjoyed it!

So glad you tried and enjoyed Flying Fish! I agree, their bread and butter service was so good - hard to not eat like 4 pieces while I was waiting for my food, haha. I looooved that red snapper.. so delicious.

I tell you it was hard to finish. Anyone who can have two of those, my hat goes off to them!

Joining late. That martini looks delicious.

Welcome :)

I am so glad I finally tried it, it is such a gem of a place!

They should call the bread basket the crack basket! It's so addicting for sure. That red snapper was the bomb for sure!!

Update!

The next morning I had a nice quiet breakfast in the CL lounge along with a nice espresso from their fabulous coffee machine before heading out to Epcot. I tried to stick to protein and no carbs for breakfast. I love how peaceful their lounge is much more so than the AKL and the BC.

For lunch I had no plans and was really on the fence about trying San Angel Inn again. Being a native Texan, I looooove Mexican food. I had a bad meal here with my friend back in 2012. So what the heck I was able to get a reservation when the opened on the app and was given a nice table near the water. The restaurant was so peaceful and I had a fantastic server. I ordered a delicious avocado margarita! IMO this is the best drink in Epcot, such creamy perfection. I really enjoyed the chips and both salsas that they gave me. For my entree I had the chicken enchiladas, which were fantastic! I really enjoyed my meal here and was very pleased with the entire experience.

Later on that day I went over to DT Disney just to see what was new. I was so excited to stop in for a drink at Jock Lindseys Bar. What a cool place! It wasn't packed at all and I sat at the bar and ordered a mojito. It was too bad I had a sip and had to send it back. Who in the world puts brandy in a mojito!! Yuck I hate brandy. So the bartender was really sweet and let me order a Kingfisher beer instead. As I sat and enjoyed my brew I studied how detailed this place was. Being a pilot's wife, I loved the place and all the little aviation treasures everywhere. The food I saw that came out look really good as well.

Way behind, trying to catch up! Loved the DL reviews. We will get back there one day!

So glad to see that you enjoyed your FF Snapper. It is only of my favorites dishes. Really hoping the quality at this restaurant doesn't change after the refurb!

Working on getting back to San Angel ... one day! DS and his DGF loved their lunch there in January. I do love those avocado margaritas!

Nice to hear that you enjoyed San Angel Inn. I agree, that avocado margarita is perfection. We'd hoped for a seat by the water but we ended up crowded in the middle of the room. That would be my only complaint about the restaurant - the crowded dining room. Jock Lindsey's looks fun, will try to stop by next trip.

I too love the snapper at Flying Fish! On my last visit I forced myself to order something else, but thankfully it was very good. :thumbsup2

And I'm glad that SAI redeemed itself for you. It's actually been one of my favorite restaurants at Epcot for quite awhile.
