Vettegirl's Holiday Dining Adventures Update 2/26 Thats a wrap!

Joining in. I love your dining reports, looking forward to more!

I'd say stick with Poly CL!

Way behind, trying to catch up! Loved the DL reviews. We will get back there one day!

So glad to see that you enjoyed your FF Snapper. It is only of my favorites dishes. Really hoping the quality at this restaurant doesn't change after the refurb!

Working on getting back to San Angel ... one day! DS and his DGF loved their lunch there in January. I do love those avocado margaritas!

I am so happy I finally went to FF and tried it out! Disney Dining perfectionf or sure! SAI was so nice and that margarita makes the trip totally worth it!

Nice to hear that you enjoyed San Angel Inn. I agree, that avocado margarita is perfection. We'd hoped for a seat by the water but we ended up crowded in the middle of the room. That would be my only complaint about the restaurant - the crowded dining room. Jock Lindsey's looks fun, will try to stop by next trip.

The middle of the room and the super close tables are a negative for sure. When I was finishing my meal this couple sat next to me and it was uncomfortable as I could hear the entire conversation. It was like we were at the same table.

Thanks for sharing.

Your welcome!!

I too love the snapper at Flying Fish! On my last visit I forced myself to order something, but thankfully it was very good. :thumbsup2

And I'm glad that SAI redeemed itself for you. It's actually been one of my favorite restaurants at Epcot for quite awhile.

I know it has been a favorite of yours and I was so happy that it was a very positive, nice dining experience.

I'd say stick with Poly CL!

Thank You!! We are sticking with the Poly CL for May! Excited to try something new.

Glad you enjoyed Flying Fish. It's one of our favorite places on property. So bummed they will be closed for most of the year.

Is that an avocado margarita I spy at San Angel???? If so yum. If not don't care what it is, I'd like some ; ) Glad the meal was a hit for you. That says a lot coming from a Texan

Yes that was the fab avocado margarita, such perfection!!

Final Update!!!!

For dinner that evening the offerings were so good in the BWI Lounge. They had chicken tenders, homemade mac n cheese, salads, veggies, cheese, potato soup, chicken salad and list goes on. Who needs a restaurant when you have this place!!

For my final meal the next day I had breakfast with my good friends and fellow Diser Emmysmommy. She is not on the boards much anymore but am so glad for my friendship with both she and her husband. We had breakfast at Kona. Both Brenda and her daughter Emily had the pineapple mac. pancakes, I had the breakfast platter, Emily's husband had a veggie omelet, and Michael had a huge donut. Everything was fantastic. Service was kind of slow but it was a nice relaxing meal. Also I love the new lobby at the Poly.

That is a wrap for probably my last solo trip for a very long time. Its hard to go to any Disney resort without your family. We will be returning in May, it will be a last minute booking due to our work schedules and building a custom home. However Disney is calling our name and I have APs burning a hole in my pocket.

Your meal at San Angel looks great! I tried it for the first time in December and was so glad I did! I have heard mixed reviews, but like you loved the avocado margarita (thank you Dis!) and my entree. Now to see if I can ever get across the path to try Hacienda.

Thanks again for the great reviews! You have definitely piqued my interest in a solo trip and of course trying out the amazing CL at AKL and BWI!

Thanks for your great reviews and how great to finish your trip with breakfast with Brenda :)

Yum! Can't believe all the club level offerings. Your are right, no restaurant needed.

Thanks as always for another wonderful report. Can't wait till May

Enjoyed your review of Kona - hoping to visit for the first time this year :)

Thanks! Its a very nice breakfast spot and the dinner isn't too bad either.

Sad to hear that's it's over! When is your next trip?

I always feel sad with my last post, but that just means I need to go back. We are going mid to end of May!!

Great reviews as usual Lori - sounds (and looks) like you had another amazing trip!

Thank you so much for being here :)

I want to try out Hacienda as well! Those avocado margaritas are so delicious!!

Sounds like a solo trip would be just what you need. I really enjoyed by CL and having quiet alone time was quiet nice.

Thanks for your great reviews and how great to finish your trip with breakfast with Brenda :)

It was the best way to end the trip! Love those guys.

Thank you Kari! I was quiet amazed by both CL offerings, the variety and quantity was fantastic.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your solo trip and am excited for you to be going back in May! Thanks for a great dining review, I enjoyed it:thumbsup2

Thank you so very much!!

Thanks for the great reviews! So glad to hear you're going back in May!!

Thank you for being here. I am so excited to return in May and going for Food and Wine in September.

Enjoyed your report very much! I'd love to try CL some day, but with not being able to eat gluten, it seems there wouldn't be much for me, so not worth it.

The evening offerings at the Boardwalk look great! I am putting the Boardwalk CL on my Disney bucket list for sometime in the future. :thumbsup2

And I am sooo jealous that you got to have breakfast at Kona with Brenda and her family. I haven't seen Brenda and Michael for almost two years now...such a great couple! :goodvibes And their daughter Emily will forever be my hero, since she saved me from a cab driver who tried his best to keep my credit card. :(

Anyway, thanks Lori for another great dining report. Looking forward to hearing about your May trip and seeing your IG posts.

:wave2: So glad you were able to join me!! I agree if you have a gluten allergy then CL probably won't give you the value for the $$

Barb, I see a BWI CL stay in your future :thumbsup2 Wow 2 years is a long time to go without seeing those guys! We had fun seeing them in Jan as well as when went to DL for the SW marathon. I told them I am going to get a DL AP and ditch WDW just so we all can hang out more often. Looking forward to May with Alexander and Peter. Baby and I may go down there this week for a couple of nights as there are a ton of room, flights are open, and I have an AP!! So stay tuned on IG.

Enjoying your review.

Tibs!? Is the vegetarian dish at animal kingdom lodge CL tibs? Oh how I loved my tibs when we stayed there!

You are so right about the food at DL not requiring so much planning. I love that, although I've finally come to grips with all the planning at wdw. I've also figured out how to stomach the massive amount of eating I do when I'm there.

As far as CL at bwi, that looks so good. It seems like enough food that you hardly have to eat elsewhere, which is great but also a dilemma since you are so close to Epcot. Tuna in a cone!? I'd try it but it certainly doesn't soynd quite right. :)
