Okay, we're leaving DC Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. heading into Orlando at 8:20 a.m. (barring a visit from Ernesto - LOL).

Anyway, I've been preparing for this for 6 months, but for some reason - all of a sudden I feel so UNPREPARED - LOL! I'm reading all kinds of little tidbits here and there about how to make our trip more magical - what's this about decorating envelopes for Mousekeeping, etc.

I've never been to Disney (yes, I was a deprived child - LOL) but I want to make this as magical as I can for my 3yo ds.

Give me one hint or tip that I'll need to know before I leave on Thursday :)

Here's one that I used on our Disney cruise. When you get there, write out a postcard to yourself. Describe how much fun you are having and how you can't wait to come back. Trust me, when you receive that when you return home it will be a breath of tropical air!

Have a GREAT trip!

I think what made it really magical for us was the fact we did not try to do everything....We have a 3 year old and at the time an almost 2 year old...We made sure to rest during the day back at the room....That little nap/rest made a world of difference in the way the kids behaved....
We are going back and we will be doing the same thing....Also, anything we missed the last time we will do first this time...
I am sure you will have a blast and your DS will absolutely love WDW!!! :Pinkbounc

You do not always have the same housekeeping staff throughout your entire stay, so if you tip housekeeping only on the last day of your stay, then you may not be tipping the ones who have left you all of the wonderful towel animals and little extras, etc. So many tip on a daily basis and leave it in a MOUSEKEEPING envelope to be sure the right ones doing the job are rewarded.

Before we go, I prepare enough mousekeeping envelopes ($4.00 in each) for each morning of our trip. This way, before we leave the room in the morning, I just lay one out and never have to worry if I have enough one dollar bills each morning.

Don't worry you will have a great vacation.
