Only have been on 1 Disney Cruise. Is there any noticeable difference convenience etc. between Cat5 and 6 besides deck location? Trying to make last minute decision on what to book tomorrow AM.Thanks.

Deck location is the only difference. Deck 7 has cat 5 and Deck 6 has cat 6. If you are looking to book cat 6, would do ASAP as they tend to go fast.

I think the main difference between cat. 5 and 6, other than the deck, is that there are a lot more rooms on deck 6 (246) than on deck 7 (180), so there's potentially more traffic in the hallways. As for convenience, I don't know that there's a lot of difference between the two decks. You're a deck further from the top and the pools, but a deck closer to the bottom and the restaurants.

The rooms themselves are the same.

Other than being higher up, they are pretty much the same in terms of noise, etc. (not really noisy...nothing much potentially noisy overhead). Personally I prefer a Cat. 6 or 5 because I prefer being as close as possible to the water.

We are going on the 11/2/2002 cruise with our Disney club members and we have booked over 45 rooms. The count for the category 5 rooms is 3 while the category 6 total is 25 rooms so obviously most people prefer to save the extra cost and stay 1 deck lower. Since the rooms are identical (except for the deck) it seems like a category 6 is the better choice.

Thanks for the info.just got off the phone ended up with a Cat 5(7570) for the DVC cruise on Feb 2.:D
