Very worried

The company my dh works for has started making people redundant, he hasnt been yet but hes only been there 7 months and others have been there for years. This couldnt have come at a worse time, we go to WDW in 3 weeks, if he does get made redundant then I dont know whether we could still go. I really hope that Im worrying for nothing

Thats grim...fingers crossed that nothing bad happens.

Ive fortunately never been in such a position....in fact Im quite the opposite, Ive been applying for voluntary redundancy at my work, and been rejected for it twice now.

Hope everything turns out okay Jen, keep us posted. If it's any comfort, the fact that DH has only been with the company 7 months shouldn't make any difference, companies shouldn't really use "last in first out" (or at least only as the absolute last resort) - they should look at the job roles which are redundant, not the employees in those roles.
