very VERY upset with ticketmaster!

I found out my tickets to see harry connick jr. aren't coming to me.

here's the deal.

I bought them with a pre-paid credit card (actually a simon card, for any of you simon mall shoppers) and ticketmaster would not give them to me b/c I couldn't verify the INTERNATIONAL address of the card. I told them that it was pre-paid and gave them my address, but they told me unless I could verify the intl. address I wouldn't get the tix; and even if I DID, they would HAVE to send them to that intl. address! boy was I steamed up! I had them cancel the tix, refund the money and went online to see if there were still good seats to see him if I went to a ticketmaster booth. Just my luck the nosebleed section was still available, so Tanya & I just decided to chalk it up as another loss at seeing harry.... AGAIN.

Maybe next year...

That stinks!! I remember reading your post awhile back about the concert,you were so psyched about going. Too bad!!! Maybe you could plan something special for that date so you guys won't feel so bad.

Don't feel bad, looks like I got jacked out of seeing him too. When they announced the concert schedule for that venue last week, they said tickets were not on sale yet, while the other two shows went on sale Friday. Well it turns out those tickets went on sale Friday as well. All the seats in the front section are gone, and even the back section only has the far side crappy seats left. If it was an indoor venue I would consider it, but I won't pay to see the side of his head and also take a chance it will rain. This is the first time he's been in town that I haven't had a conflict or been on vacation too. Oh well.
My only hope is that one of my friends sometimes ushers there--I saw her last summer when we saw Pat Benatar--I've got an EMail in to her to see if she is working and if she needs an extra hand!

That sucks. I can't tell you how many concert tickets I've bought that have gone to waste.

Dont despair... Ticketmaster may release seats a few days before the actual concert, or even on the same day. Usually those seats are really good ones too.

Keep trying to see if they do. I heard people getting front row seats that way.

Yes, I have gotten front row seats the day of the show.

My DH and I went to a YES concert this way. We called the ticket office (small office inside a video store of all places), and asked for any available seats, anywhere, including credit card cancellations. They siad they had front row.. we hightailed it over to the ticket office .

We got front row center!

It might have been the Simon card that caused the problem. I know we have a lot of problems with them.
