sorry to be so non specific but I remember something a few months ago about a new disney imagineering book coming out this month that everyone was excited about. DS wants to be an engineer when he grows up so I wanted to get this to encourage him. Does anyone know the name of it?

If you are talking about the pocket size guide then it is "The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magice Kingdom." Amazon.com has it for sale $9.95. I hope this is what you are looking for.
