I thought I would share something really positive about Disney for anyone out there who needs some pixie dust!
We had a room only reservation for December, but due to other opportunities that are coming up in the next few months, we decided to cancel.
Our hotel was paid in full, so I was wondering about the refund and how quickly it would come. Our deposit was placed on our credit card and then the balance was paid by personal check.
I called on August 20th to cancel our reservation, and was told our refund could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, and may possibly be a bit longer due to the hurricane. I was fine with this.
Four days later, I received confirmation in the mail of our cancelled reservation, and the amount shown as a refund matched the amount we paid right to the penny! (Ahh, yes. Just as it should be!)
Today is the seventh day since I cancelled, and when I picked up the mail, our refund check was right on top! I also checked our credit account and the deposit has been returned to us as well.
In less than a week, Disney refunded the entire sum of our money!
So, thumbs up and and lots of high fives to Disney for excellent service!
