with our experience with DVC.

Started our purchase the end of April with 200 BVC points. Waited a couple weeks to think about making a reservation. With family help we picked Thanksgiving Week 8 nights in a Studio.
Now the Family would like to go so we attempted to get 2 more Studios but no luck so we waitlisted while we had reservations at BCV, OKW, BWV moving around the entire week with the 2 additional Studios. Well it took less than 2 week and our comfirmations came in all at BCV for all 3 Studios.
So in 4 weeks we purchased, made reservations, added 2 units, waitlisted and received our confirmation for 3 studios at BCV with no need to move.
Thats not all the story continues.
I don't remember why but my DW was talking to MS and some one suggested we try for a 2 Bedroom, that we would be much happier with a 2bd and 1 studio but we needed a couple more points. We had borrowed most of our 2003 points already with the 2 additional studio's.
Thinking long and hard, about 2 minutes we did an add-on for 50 more points and waitlisted at the same time for the 2 BR.
After a couple of months and not a word we decided to take a chance and change our waitlist to a day by day and hope we can get most of our days together. Well !!! the day we made the change Friday 8/09 there was a 2 bd for our 2nd day. My DW Called a couple times during the week with no change.
Now for the GOOD News. I tried agian Friday 8/16 and all the remaining days (7) including Thanksgiving came through so we are now Booked and have comfirmation in hand for a Studio and 2 Bedroom ( dedicated ) for our entire stay.

We are both very pleased so far with our DVC experience and we have not even seem our resort as yet.

I must say there were some mistakes made but all were corrected immediately when addressed. this is understandable with all the changes we made.

Julie Hughes and Lisa are GREAT !!!!

That's a great story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanskgiving trip!

That's just great. The idea of a 2-bedroom and a studio will also give you all a place to gather and even cook a meal if you like. I can't wait to hear your trip report!

We are all anxious to get there and see the BCV's.
We have 3 generations and 12 family members going.

We were not sure what to do when waitlisting for the 2 Bedroom. We did not want to start breaking up our reservation by waitlisting on a daily basis and be stuck jumping from a Studio to 2 BR and back during Thanksgiving Week. We were not sure we would be able to get the entire stay on one reservation because of the Holiday.
Thanks to the many reports I have read on these boards DW and I decided to take a chance and change to the Day By Day. Well it worked out in one week.
Now its the long wait to November.

With the additional purchase of points I ended up with a few left over. I wonder if a short 2 - 3 trip would be possible to check the place out. The only thing is waiting to year 2004 for more points would be very dangerious if we use them all up now, if you know what I mean.
I think I know what is going to happen already. We have used all 2002, most of 2003 points. We go down in November, DW and I end up loving the place and want to try it alone or try one of the other DVC resorts. We can't do it all on the points we have so .............

on the phone again to Julie Hughes !!!

What a predicament to have.

LOL! It's happened to the best of us. Welcome to the club!

Decided today that we could not wait until November to get to see our new HOME, BCV.
Called MS tried for 3 days following Labor Day at BCV. Only had 2 nights of the 3 available in a studio and did not want to switch so asked about BWV's.

They had available a 3 nights standard view Studio.

See you there, DVC is GREAT !!!
