How are WDW restaurants about teenagers ordering off the kids menu? I'm going with 2 extremely picky 14 year old girls. They like chicken fingers, and I saw on Deb's site that they're on most kids menus, but not the regular menus. Anyone else have this dilemma?

Hi grinninghost... I don't have an answer to your question - just wanted to say that we are going to be in Disney at the same time.. where are you staying? Maybe my picky daughter can play with your picky crew.

There will be no problem.... I'm 26 and sometimes still ordered off the kids menu  . They never, ever gave me a hard time.

DS 16 orders what he wants and never has a problem.

We're staying at ASMo - can't wait. :D

Thanks for the info guys. I imagine we'll be ordering alot of chicken fingers. ;)

When we went in Dec., we were with a VERY picky adult. We ate at CRT and she wanted to order of the children's menu (chicken fingers or something like that!;) ) and they would not let her.

The only places that won't let you order kid's meals for teens should be buffets or where they charge "per head" based on age. (Family style meals, etc.) I can see where some restaurants might refuse to let adults order kids meals but I think most places understand that teens often haven't developed sophisticated enough of a palate to desire the items listed on the adult menus yet. We have never had a problem ordering for our teens from the kids menu. Sometimes a restaurant (such as Artist Point) will offer to make them an "adult" burger (larger than a kid's burger) and charge an adult price (like $10.95) for it.

I have also had luck at resturants by ordering a kids meal and adding a extra chicken tender or two. There are always plenty of fries, but if DS is extra hungery, he sometimes wants more that the usual 2 or 3. Sometime they charge, sometimes not though i always expect to pay for the extras.
