Very Nasty Weather in Central FL Tonight

I know your supposed to turn off your computer in case of power serge. is it ok to stay on and on wifi if you use a laptop on battery mode, not plugged in?

Just curious

I am working on a laptop that's NOT plugged in to anything.

John tells me that I'm not in danger. If the house took a hit...the wifi might explode...but the computer would be safe.
