I am having this EXACT same debate with myself. :confused3 It would be really wonderful to have photos of Ron and I that we aren't taking ourselves with one of us holding the camera out as far as we can. He doesn't want to spend the money on the CD, he wants to just stop random people and ask them to take our picture with out camera. LOL. I'm too shy for that usually, though. You never know if the person you ask is going to be in a bad mood or in a hurry, etc. And I want really nice pictures! So we'll see. I think the cost is pretty high too, but I think if we got alot of really nice Photos, it could be worth it. :goodvibes

Well, I am sorry to hear that you had a rough day back there, but I am glad that it's turning around, you are doing a real good job of keeping a positive attitude, you have alot going on and I commend you for realizing that you are only capable of so much but still doing so much at the same time.

Yay, for a good shopping day. A little retail therapy always helps huh? And you got some Christmas shopping done, that's great. I really need to start that soon.

Hurray for Miranda's first visit to MK. I am always excited when someone gets to visit for the first time, whether it be a child or an adult.

Thank you!
I really hope it all comes together for CJ. I just want him to be a productive member of society and just be happy.

And I just cannot wait to hear about Miranda's day. They called me while they were riding "it's a small world", so now, I have that darn song stuck in my head!
I expect photos soon. I did a RideMax plan for them, so I hoped it worked out.

My cast of characters include Miranda's mom, my BFF for 22 years now. She also called me yesterday to let me know she bought the new FL resident pass for weekdays, so she'll definitely be with me part of the time. :thumbsup2 I think I'm turning her to the magical side!! :wizard:

My friend Mary will also be there with her mom at BLT (DVC member), so maybe she can get Photopass at the pre-purchase price since she is a resort guest. I'll have to ask her.

Normally, I am not a good shopper. I just want to get the stuff on my list and get out. However, I am usually this way in my area where people are a little on the crazy side. :crazy2:
This trip was a AAA bus trip to Osh-gosh-b'kosh-middle-of-nowhere, Pennsylvania and there was barely anyone shopping, so it made for a lot more relaxed and happy experience.
It's funny how you find things you want/need when you aren't looking for them so intently. Powee! There it is!

It was a very rough day back there is right! I just want to fix everything and I just can't do that.

So glad to hear you are feeling better and things are looking up!:goodvibes

Yes, thank you!
I just have to focus on good things and try to help as much as possible to resolve the not-so-good things. :upsidedow

At least if you are a resort guest, you should be getting an email 45 days before to pre-purchase the CD at a discount. :thumbsup2

I'm off-site, so that will not be happening for me. My friend Mary and her mom are staying at BLT, so maybe I can ask them if they got an email.

Mary is going through a few things right now :sad1:, which is part of my sad weekend. So, I kind of got hit from all sides, I'm also hoping this trip is very magical for her :wizard:

I can't ask people to take my picture. Exactly for the same reasons! Though, it didn't stop anyone from asking me to take their picture. It happened so many times in my trips, but never recipercated. :confused3 I guess people don't think solos want their pics taken?

While I Was Out...

The one day that I take a day off at work and I get 2 great emails full of fantastic, magical news! :lmao:

(It may have something to do with MadilynnsMomma Disney-VooDoo-ness, but don't tell her or she may figure out she has MAGIC)

I'll tell the work email good news first; as you may know, part of my sadness is my friend Cris, who is currently in the hospital. You may also remember that her son bought into the DVC to keep her spirits up and they were planning on coming down the same time as me.

I've been worrying whether to call and see about an update because as of last Thursday, she was being put on a ventilator/life support. I haven't heard anything since and literally have been dreading getting a phone call with the worst all last weekend.

Her husband (who also works in my company) sent an email yesterday, saying she is fighting the good fight. She doesn't like being on the ventilator, but she can't yet breathe on her own. For her, this is good news, because as long as she ticked off, she will fight. And she will be royally ticked off if she can't go to Disney! :thumbsup2

AND ........

On the personal email....which, of course, I didn't check last night because I was tired when I came home from PA (just DIS'd and Titter'd for a second, then went to bed :goodvibes)..........

At just about 10:30am yesterday......

I got an email from..................

D23!!!!!!!! THE WAITLIST WAS OPENED!!!!!!!
:worship: :yay: :worship:.

I have 24 hours to confirm my ticket, which is at 10:30am this morning. Of course, you KNOW my eyes were bugging out of my head and I desperately wanted to jump up and down like this , but I had to maintain some sort of decorum. :lmao:

I have to fax over my information only and thankfully, our fax at work is in total working order. I faxed it promptly at 8:30am, a full 2 hours before the deadline.

Even if I opened my email when I returned home, I don't have a fax at home. There was no other option to register. Weird, right? Is this day and age, faxes are pratically going the way of the dinosaur. I'm sure I would not have been able to sleep either, knowing my 24 hours was closing in.

Thank god for checking my email early! I got up a little early this morning, so I decided just to head to work early. How is that for karma?! *twilight zone music here*

I need a hotel! Could this mean I should stay on-site?! :rotfl: :worship:

Now, I wait for some sort of confirmation of my registration.

Just so you know, I am not calm. I'm simply playing at being calm for right now, while I am at work. :lmao::lmao:

** Breathe In, Breathe Out ** :goodvibes :wizard:

Via stitchkingdom.com:

Walt Disney World is now accepting general requests to attend the taping of the 2009 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. As expected, taping will take place during the first weekend of December, but this year, taping will also occur on the Thursday before, making the taping a total of three days, December 3 – 5. Thursday and Friday will consist of performance tapings at Cinderella Castle and in the Main Street USA area while Saturday will be the parade itself (which may also contain additional performances at select locations along the parade route). Guests may opt to choose 1, 2 or all 3 days at time of registration.

Sign-up is free and includes park admission to the Magic Kingdom for the remainder of the day (note guests who exit the park after the taping may not be allowed re-entry without other legitimate admission media).

Registrations are accepted up until December 2 but are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To register, click http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?CHECKSSO=0&EVENT_ID=1804465.

Glad to hear that Cris is fighting the good fight!

AND... WOOHOO!!! for being off the waitlist!!!

Did you see they no longer have the prepurchse price unless you get an email from them. And the only emails are going to resort guest who book through Disney directly. Thats annoying!
Yay for the waitlist!

I don't want to mess with Karma....

I don't want to assume I have a Magic & Merriment ticket, but I'm going to tentatively think I do. I sent the fax in time, though my credit card has yet to be charged.

I want to book a hotel, but I don't want karma kicking me in the you-know-what. I really do want to stay on-property (I know this is not news to any of you ).

I looked it up online and POR is available for Saturday & Sunday with the room special. There is nothing available for Friday - Sunday, other than Saratoga Springs. I wanted to get there Friday night so I'll be nice and fresh for Saturday.

Should I let a TA handle it or book directly so I can have Photopass? If I do book directly, can I use Photopass the week before?

Hmmm.....

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

I got a Magic & Merriment ticket!! :wizard:

Email confirmation received! :wizard:

I'm so going to cry. I try to be stoic most of the time, but this makes me so happy!

Good news is always awesome!!!

When are you coming to see the train thing again? I def wanna try and meet up!

YAY! :dance3: I can't wait to hear all about it!

This is certainly shaping up as a December to Remember!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you!! :grouphug:

I'm currently trying to figure out hotels. I say hotels because I needed one for Atlantic City and New York City for November. I booked A/C, but NYC is giving me a headache.

I'm looking at Disney hotels, but I think I'm giving up on checking in on Friday and just booking for Saturday & Sunday. I originally wanted the Epcot area (so I can quickly go back in some free afternoon time on Saturday and finish checking in), but the budget doesn't extend quite that far. I'm still working it out. :goodvibes

Re: Christmas Carol Train Tour
It's terminating at Grand Central on Oct 30-Nov 1. I can't go on a Friday and I'm not too sure whether I *want* to be in NYC on Halloween.:eek:
I think the last day, Nov 1 might be the winner. :thumbsup2 What day were you thinking, Kat?

I'm still heading into the City for the Princess and the Frog screening at Thanksgiving weekend and the weekend before for my concerts. :thumbsup2 Still haven't booked a hotel for that, but I will soon. Why is it so hard to find a decent, secure, clean hotel between 42nd & mid-70s, near the 1,2 or 3 subway line? :rotfl::lmao:

.... is now out of the ICU!!! :wizard: :yay:

She can't yet talk on her own, but she is out of immediate danger.

Today is good. :goodvibes:goodvibes
