Very Merry D23 Holidaze Dec 2009 TR - 7 magical park days! updt 7/1

mmm Raglan Road! :)

And it's beautiful out in Jersey this weekend...go on that hike! :)

I ended up not going since I did fall back asleep around 7am, then bro called and didn't show up on time. :headache: All the plans out the window. Thankfully, the hikes are 2x a month. :)

Here on The Cape it's a great day for a hike. Plan to head out as soon as we can pull ourselves together. Then an evening of housework as we prep from my DD 2nd birthday party tomorrow... Don't you just love tidying your house for guests :sad2:

Good luck with the b-day preparations! :wizard:

So, here comes Plan "B" since I was able to connect with my friend, so she definitely wants in for the Segway & KTTK tours. She is going to MVMCP, so it switches the schedule a little....

Note: remember, I am off-site and have a car. Your thoughts? Opinions?

OK, so now I am caught up. You have a few things on your to do wish list that I have on mine, one of them is to meet Sorccer Mickey. I came so close to meeting him on my very first trip, but the family suffered a melt down and it didn't happen.

All your plans sound so awesome, you've got a lot going on. In the beginning of this PTR you were kind of all over the board with your plans, now seems like they are really co9ming together. I found myself pushing for you to stay onsight, I was like do it, just do it. But I can see your reasoning for not staying on sight.

What a cute cat, I love the name Prozac for a pet. I like wierd names for pets too. We have a black cat his name is Panterolous Maximus, my son was going through his love of gladiators phase when he named the cat, we just call him Max or Pantera now. My dogs name is Falula.

Know what you mean about pets costing more then we do, I just paid 130 bucks for the vet to tell me my dog has stress.:confused3

So tell me about this "Taping" at MK on Saturday, you keep repeating how you are staying clear of MK that day, I am freaking out now because I plan to be there on that day. Are they taping a parade? I can't stand massive crowds.
Anywho, I'll keep popping in on this PTR to see what's up or just say "Hey"

Ty

So, my friend Mary just texted sayng she has been on hold for an hour with Disney dining! :scared1:

I offered to be online, but they don't have their confirmation number to open the 10 day window.

I'm thinking Le Cellier for Candlelight Processional is not going to happen. I hope that the tours are not sold out. :upsidedow

She's currently on the phones with the tour peeps!

UPDATE: (the ones I'm included in)
Candlelight Processional Package: Garden Grill (A fav of her mother's) at 3:55pm
HS, Sci-Fi early lunch for 11:30am

Keys to the Kingdom, booked! :thumbsup2
Segway tour, booked! :thumbsup2
(the CM told her they are no longer accepting AAA discounts, unless you book thru AAA :sad2:)

:welcome:

I'm gonna try this time. Family meltdowns suck.

Thanks! :goodvibes
I just couldn't throw the week away. Of course, without the +10 for dining, it's really a pain in the gulutus maximus.

She was named Prozac because she keep racing around the house. Someone said "give that cat Prozac!" and oh lala, a name was born. She still does that to this day.
I got her results from her bloodwork and the vet remarked that that she was perfect!

Yup, that is exactly it. They are doing the ABC Christmas Parade taping that day, so I just figured to steer clear of it. I had a whole day planned at MK for when I do the Kingdom tour.

Glad to hear your Kitty is perfect.

I tried to change my ADR for that day, everything is booked up now so I am stuck. It's an early ADR so I will eat and leave.

How's your ADR booking going? Sorry it's such a pain in the rear, I do hope you get everything you want.

Ok, the latest from the bleary & weary.....it should be just after 6am! :surfweb:

I got:
Raglan Road, 3pm
Yak & Yeti, 1:30pm

Included with Mary, since she is on-site:
Kingdom Tour
Segway Tour
Candlelight Processional, Garden Grill, 5:05pm
Sci Fi, 11:30pm

I was on speakerphone when she called for the tours and the CM said they are no longer accepting AAA discount for our tours unless you booked your trip through AAA! :headache:

Tomorrow, I need to book a place for MK, but I'll make my mind up tonight, since I may leave for an afternoon break and may head to CR/BLT. Remember, I gotta see all th deluxe resorts in their finery. LOL!

My brain is hurting from trying to figure this out....

So, this is my itin for part of my trip, but I'm having trouble settling my mind on the below. Do I allocate enough time for HS? MK? Opinion? Thought?

Monday
-MK for KTTK tour, until 1:30pm-ish (includes lunch at 11:30am)
-MK for rest of day, eat at TS? 3-4-5pm? or do a CS?
-MK for Spectro & Wishes – 7pm & 8pm (Dessert party?)

Tuesday
-Epcot for Segway tour for morning, done by 11:30am
-Head to HS? MK? If MK, eat at Tony's?
(MK closes at 7pm for MVMCP)

Wednesday
-HS, almost all day (RD-4pmish), eat early lunch at Sci-Fi @11:30pm
-Epcot for Candlelight Processional & Illuminations; Garden Grill @5:05pm for 8pm show; 9:30pm Illuminations

That said, I don't have overly many things to do at HS. Hopefully, earlier in the trip, I would have been able to catch Osborne Lights.

Can I do this in HS in tinme allocated above?
-Animation Studio & meet Scorcer Mickey
-Backlot Tour
-Muppet Vsion 3D
-Star Tours
-Little Mermaid
-One Man's Dream
-See some streetomsphere action

You do have alot planned, I'm sure you can get in most of it if not all of it. You will be on your own schedule, that will be helpful, not having to stop for other peoples potty breaks.

I would do CS at MK on that MK day. Especially if you do the dessert party. You'll probably be really full from all the meals. LOL! Of course that never stops me from eating!

I kinda do, but I'm trying not to overschedule myself. If I can do more, then I'll skip ahead of the schedule and readjust when I'm there. :thumbsup2

Hopefully, that made sense.

Oh, definitely on my own schedule. My BFF knows I'm coming, knows that dining has to be done this week, but y'know how that goes.

Most of my ADRs are made with 2 people just in case. With my friend Mary, who is staying on-site, we had plans for the tours and Candlelight Processional. :thumbsup2

So far, no dessert party. I'm hoping it will get extended, but if not, no biggie big.

One would think I would do CS and, in fact, I thought seriously about it.....:rolleyes1

.....................................

....................................................

I made my reservations for MK (see previous post) this morning at the crack of freakin' flippin' frickin' dawn, I might add.

Since sleep alluded me all night (yes, all night! I have now been up over a day! argh :headache:), I decided to check the online system, if I could book yet and yup, I could. Whoo-hoo! :woohoo:

I was planning to do a CS or Tony's for somewhere around 4-5pm-ish and it kept on giving me all kinds of crazy times as well as suggestions for different places. So, I went back and forth a few times trying to tweak it.....

And, yes.....

I did it......

Didn't mean to...but it was staring at me 3 (yes, THREE) different times while I was tweaking.....

I thought about it and thought, it keeps coming up! ......

And...I may not have another chance............

And......it would be a good cap to our Magical Magic Kingdom day since we would just finish up the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour.....

So, I booked for 2:05pm........

Cinderella's Royal Table!!! :worship:

I think you could definitely do all that stuff on you DHS day (RD-4pm, plus SciFi). Luckily you aren't doing the BIG ticket attractions like RNR and TOT. That will cut down a LOT of time, especially at RD. When everyone is running to the big 3, you can meander to the smaller stuff :)

How awesome! I would like to do lunh or breakfast there someday. I really need to win the lottery so I can do all I want to do!

We've got some extra TS credits that I haven't planned yet. Was going to do CS meals with them (we're on DDxP) - but part of me just wants to eat in that castle!!!

That's what I'm thinkin' :scratchin

I did a quite Ride Max and it seems like I can fit it all in. I really really want Backlot & Animation Studios. As long as I get to do those, I'm allll goooood. :thumbsup2

In case, anyone else needs Ride Max, just let me know! I'll be happy to run it for you guys.

If I feel really guilty about it, I'll cancel it.
I was still hemming & hawing about going for F&G and by then, it'll be back to 180 days....yadda yadda.
And we did downgrade the Candlelight Processional, so......we'll see.

Yup. :goodvibes

I'm not on dining plan, since I'm off-site. I did some math and I don't see it working for me.

Of course, with eating at the Castle princess:, I only have a good 3 hours in the park before Spectro & Wishes happen. This can change a bit, if the Dessert Party is extended.
So, mos def, I need to go back the next day after the Segway tour, to get the rest of my fill. I'll have about 7 hours before they kick me out for MVMCP. I don't know yet whether I'll do an ADR or just CS it. :upsidedow

I decided to get up anyway and book an ADR for my second MK day, since I wasn't overly sure if my guilt will overcome me and I would need to cancel the CRT ressie. :o

I was going to CS it considering my time limitations in MK, however....

I booked:
The Plaza, 1:20pm

I will be at Epcot for the morning for the Segway tour, which should end around 11:30am. That should give me more than enough time to ge to MK (via car), gawk a bit and head to The Plaza. If I find, that it doesn't give me enough time in MK, I can just cancel The Plaza, if I keep the CRT or vice versa. :upsidedow

I need a backup plan to my backup plan. :rolleyes1

...have been announced but nothing in NYC at all or WDW in early December.....

I wish they would have discounts or something with D23, but there's really nowhere to submit suggestions or anything. :confused3 I'll see if there is a thread here somewhere.....

Holy Buckets! I might just found my PPPB - a pratically perfect park bag?! :worship:

I just picked up a Donner Overland Equipment bag. It looks to have every feature I want/need. :dance3:

It has a long enough strap for me, secure closed front pocket, 2 separated packets inside, a back pocket, external side pockets, long (vs. wide) and it's a pretty soft red! :yay:

What do you think?

And, I don't have to get up tomorrow to make ADRs! Just Friday morning and I'm done done done!!! :cloud9:
