Very Merriest After Party --- do you dress up?!

Hi! We've never done any of the Halloween or Holiday parties --- this is our first, tickets for the Very Merriest After Party.

We're trying to decide on whether to do a pool day/different park that day, then head over to the party. Or, we currently have MK booked for that day as well for tickets. Not sure if that's just too much in the park, or whether to "surprise" our kids with the after party by heading over there from another park.

Also, do people dress up "Christmasy"/Holiday for the Very Merriest After Party? Dresses/Christmas attire, like attending a Holiday party?

Thanks!

Personally I do a special event in place of a park day.

In the past many people have dressed in Christmas pajamas.

We just like to wear a Christmas shirt and our Christmas Disney zip up hoodies.
This year I'm wearing my Disney Silver and Gold Christmas spirit jersey on the event day.

Personally I wouldn't dress up nice like you're going to a party. Its not really that suitable for a theme park in my opinion.

I'm planning to wear a Christmas shirt, leggings, a skirt and Christmas ears. Not a costume but festive!

Lots of people will be in matching Christmas shirts or Christmas pajamas. The light up Christmas bulb necklaces are really popular too. Anything festive really!

I was able to find a bunch of holiday mickey ears super cheap (they were on sale at burlington, last year's ears), so I got those for all of us to wear to the party.

I agree with others - Christmas/holiday themed shirts and sweaters if it is cooler out. I also plan to carry my Christmas themed loungefly backpack. I have a hat too but may not wear it at night unless it is cold (I have not been that cold in December but it can happen). I use an ECV and I've put lights on it for the Halloween party so I will probably bring some this year for the Christmas party.

You might check local stores for the light up necklaces that look like Christmas bulb lights - cheaper than buying them onsite!

Thank you for asking this - I've been wondering! We're going at the end of November and I'm guessing it's going to be chilly, so while we might have Christmas-y shirts on we will also likely be sporting our packable down jackets with scarves. I am planning to get some Christmas-themed ears, though, and we will likely get light-up necklaces.

I'm not saying it can't be cold.
Last time I went in early December was 2018 and the one day it only got to 60 with a raw breeze and it rained that evening it was 40 but felt like 33.
So yes definitely bring the packable down coats since they can be packed easily however don't necessarily expect you're going to need them.
Instead expect that you may need a sweatshirt or zip up hoodie.
Its Florida after all. Generally in late November you're looking at highs in the 70's or even low 80's and lows in the low 50's.

Definitely pack for a few different temperatures, I've been to a few Christmas parties where it felt chilly. But still a ton of fun!

Totally get that :) I'm a chronic overpacker anyway, and I'm planning to pack for just about every possibility and keeping my eye on the forecast. At least the jackets pack down into little zip bags so we can tuck them into the backpack if we don't need them - they really are more like fall weather jackets than winter, not much heavier than a cozy sweatshirt. We live in central IN, and I'm guessing our current weather situation is similar to what we'll see in FL in November - it was in the low 60s today, low 50s tonight, and my kiddo had to add mittens at the playground this afternoon to "keep my hands from falling off!", she said.

We going to the Christmas Party on December 5th and I want to get us all matching Christmas shirts. I can't decide between t-shirts or hoodies.

I'm a MN girl so I can definitely handle some cold (and I hate being hot) but I'm assuming for most people a sweatshirt would be regular early December attire for 9pm-1am?

Opinions? Thanks!

Having lived along the Gulf Coast all my life and being familiar with early December weather in Orlando, I'd probably go with the hoodie, as long as it was a zip up so that if it were a warm evening I could wear a tee under it and take it off/put it back on easily! In your case, could you get both matching tees and hoodies? It's way too early now to know what the weather will be like 3 weeks from now!

Getting both might be the way to go for us. Good idea!

We usually do Christmas pajama pants, t-shirts/hoodies, and Christmas ears. The last time we went (2018) we wore spirit jerseys and weren't cold, but the first time we went (2012) we were in winter jackets.

I'm wearing leggings with a fun skirt and a Christmas t shirt and I have a cardigan too so you can still see my t shirt..

Got christmas-themed t-shirts for my sister and I. Will be celebrating my sister's "birthday" (a few weeks early, but close enough) that day, so she'll probably be prancing around in a crown. Just trying to keep an eye on what the temperatures might be for that week and if I need to layer up more than a tshirt/jeans
