Very last minute trip- checking in today SSR

After 2 flight cancellations traveling to California we have decided to get in the car and drive to Disney. I was able to piece together a last minute 6 nights at SSR. I have the first 2 nights in a preferred and the rest in a standard. I am really hoping not to change rooms but if I do what is the best area to be close to the main pool and fitness facility? Should get in around 8 pm so I assume the quick service will still be open?? Super excited to try this resort. I always lean towards the GF or Poly so fun to try something different. Happy New Year!

Go Grandstand - standard and has everything that preferred has except “view” of DS. Better, it has first one-off bus access.

Adult only trip we like Grandstand because first bus stop and easy walk to front. When the kids were younger we loved staying Paddock (3rd bus stop), husband would play golf in the am while I took kids to park, come back to Paddock pool for lunch where we would all swim, then nap, then hit parks all together for the evening.
