Very last minute luck?!

We were thrilled to find a studio for next Saturday, but now we want more! We want to change it to a 1 bedroom PV at SSR so we don’t have to move.

For those who have been in this predicament, and been successful, did you call or stalk?

Within 7 days I call. Have not done much but the few times I did, I was more successful that way.

FYI, I live in orlando, about 17 min from WDW. Yesterday was sat. ran into this poor totally exhausted and overheated tourist at subway. Told me they had been at MK 6hrs and were able to get on 2 rides. The kids were crying hot and very upset, they were so sorry they hadn't waited, plus so many without masks and virus on the up. She was hot, tired disappointed and worried. They were switching to sea world and universal for rest of vaca, hoping to save it after 3 disappointing days at first HS and then MK.

We were at MK Sat from 4:30-9. Rode People Mover, Space, Haunted, BTMRR, and Jungle Cruise.

It’s not our usual commando success story, but it’s certainly not 2 rides/6 hrs.

Now today at HS. Absolute madhouse. But we had reservations for Oga’s and Savi’s (cause we stalked them) and scored RotR at 1pm so not a wasted day either.

and EPCOT F&W tonight. Not rides but not as crowded as I expected for a weekend.

It’s busy. And no FPs is a bummer.

It’s not doom and gloom.

I’ve had DVC rooms pop up and open the day before good luck! I stalked online. The one thing I hate about the system is that you can’t book day of reservations online. It will not show room availability the day of.

maybe I had days backwards and HS was the 6 hr 2 rides. personally, I'm going in the summer with a FP. but yeah, no fastpass is pretty awful. disappointing for sure.

The only ride line we elected to get into yesterday was Star Tours. Everything else was crazy.

I DID try RnR single rider with 60 minute standby line wait. CM said single rider was temporarily closed because its wait time was longer than the standby time.

No. I have an AP and did Star Tours, Oga’s, Savi’s, Rise, Soarin’ and F&W festival.

It was a pretty good day.

And. Cost adjusted to the 20 days or so that I’m using my DVC AP pass, about $30/day then divided by 2 parks. $15 bucks to visit HS.

As I said, not having FP is a bummer.

Which Saturday were you looking for? I'm on hold w/ MS because I have a reservation I may drop. I can't figure out what UY I booked with so I don't know how long I'd have to use holding points. If it's too tight I might see about putting the reservation up. I just didn't figure anyone would want a reservation so close? but maybe someone would want it?

these people had a 3 day park hopper, not FL. residents. Not all can afford AP. Disney is packed, no FP, no masks, and covid rate on the rise, waiting in line for an hr. with people who may or may not be vaccinated, Hard pass, or just waiting for a 60 sec ride for over an hour??? Not doing that either. thank you for clarifying you are a resident AP holder.

We have booked this very last minute stay, because we cancelled two well thought out stays due to DH’s health issues. He will be having partial lung removal.

I know they don’t have fast pass and shows are missing, but capacity is supposed to be less then ususal. Plus, no non-US visitors. So, why so crowded. Is it worse then a regular summer.

I was there in November. I only went to MK and Epcot. I found it manageable.

I will be there in 3 week. My family will be going to parks during the week and at openings, to hopefully get a jump on the heat and crowds.
I am also hoping mid August, with southern schools open will help!
