We just returned from a 2 night stay. This was our first trip to Universal and we loved everything about it! First of all, we absolutely loved RPR! Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating! We were so busy the first day that we didn't stop by and get a glass of milk for my 1 year old (he has got to have milk before bed!) and when we realized it the restaurants were closed. We called room service expecting to pay a small fortune for it but when the girl delivered it to our room she said "Ma'am this milk is free of charge!" How sweet! This was not the only time we were given free milk for my little one and every time it was handed over with a smile! Of course, my son waving and blowing kisses at everyone probably didn't hurt :thumbsup2 Everything about RPR was wonderful. Beautiful landscaping, clean rooms, friendly staff.. I could go on and on!
Due to our short stay, we only visited 1 park - Islands of Adventure. We got there about 5 minutes after 8:00 during the early entry time and went straight to HP. Loved the baby swap for all the rides! The two older kids got to ride everything twice in a row and the little one got to go through most of the lines with the family. FJ was a great ride and it was never really crowded on the day we went (5/8). Wait time was 10 min. (walk on) when we got there (8:30) and 15 min. about an hour before we left the park (5:00). I do admit that we didn't check right in the middle of the day, though. My son (8) actually liked the Spiderman ride the best. I preferred Hulk :)
The fotl perk is awesome! For several rides, wait times were 45 min. to 1 hr. and we walked right on. Made for a nice trip in 93 degree heat!
We ate at Margaritaville for my son's b-day dinner and it was great! The volcano erupted just when we sat down and the kids really loved the stilt walkers who made balloon animals. They made a big deal out of my son's b-day! Ok, sorry this post is sooo long! We just had so much fun! Any questions just ask!

Sounds like y'all had fun! Welcome to the dark-side- we weren't kidding about it having cookies and milk ;)

Great to hear you had a good time and we love RPR cause they go out of their way for you no matter how small or big cause 2 years ago our car service picked up someone elses bag and my DW's meds and mine where in the bag and the car company wanted to charge us to go back and get it and when the valets told the manager what was going on he took it on himself to go to the airport and return that bag and get ours saving us a $90.00 when he didn't have to.

I'm glad to hear all of this. I have stayed at the other two. Wasn't so impressed with Hard Rock- was very loud but comfortable. PBH was amazing but we had a short stay. If youre not careful youll get lost. All Ive been reading about RPR has been mixed but everyone on here seems to really like it!

RPR rooms are smaller than PBH, but the place is NICE. I stayed there in 2008 with a friend and we both loved it. The pool is HUGE!

And if you like frozen drinks, try the pacific sunset. :cool2:

We always stay at RPR. We decided about 4-5 years ago to stay onsite in the summer. One it was the cheapest of the 3 but it turns out we love it better than HRH. We pool hop all the time to HRH, but do not like the the inside and the decor. We have never been to PBH, but we are going to visit in our trip next week. The thing is none of the photos look appealing to us. We just like RPR island theming, the laid back atmosphere, and how close it is to Citywalk.:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you had a great stay! We're also a RPR lovers - my DH has even booked there when he goes down to Orlando on business because he likes it so much :thumbsup2

We really liked RPR when we stayed there. I loved the decor, the staff, the pool, really everything.
