Very glad to be a DVC owner...

I've been keeping my eye out for AP rates for this fall...wanting to add one more night to our DVC stay. But I'm really surprised to see all the folks over on the resorts board who have no reservations yet and are still waiting for fall AP rates....WOW!

I mean, I like a great rate as much as anyone else....but I'm incredibly happy that my entire vacation doesn't depend on good rates being released. I made my reservations from my room at BWV last Nov! And even if I don't get the last night I'm hoping for I have a weekend at BCV and 5 more nights at BWV....all without a room bill during my vacation.

With all the changes that are reportedly going to happen regarding room only reservations, etc....it makes DVC look better and better.

Maybe the 7 for price of four package this summer was sufficiently attractive and successful that they are rethinking the AP rates. They like selling those pakages, the margins must be better in bundling the features.

It is nice to not need those discounts to plan your trips.

Sometimes its hard to get a decent airfare when you wait so long for AP rates...unless you can drive, then it's no problemo!

I love the Boardwalk Villas and DVC. The only problem I have is using my frequent flyer miles, because I have to waitlist to get the DVC and then MUST book air fare to match my DVC stay. I guess that I could try to book my frequent flyer dates and THEN attempt a wait list for those dates. Haven't tried that yet.
