This is for those of you who laughed at me early last year, when I said I was planning what would be my only trip to the US. That trip has come and gone already. And, well, it looks like you were right to laugh.
I HAVE TALKED MY HUBBY INTO SAVING WITH ME FOR ANOTHER TRIP TO THE US!!!
We are not looking at going until probably 2014, my preference would be for around October, as I want to experience an American Halloween (at DLR!). This wouldn't just be a DLR trip (for those who have come along this year, I stayed at GCH for a week in January with my sister and daughter, before my daughter and I headed to Hawaii for a further week). My husband isn't interested in DLR, so I'd limit our time there to say 3 days, before going to Vegas, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and anywhere else he'd like to go. I'd also have to go to Texas I think, as I have a friend who lives there. And I'd love to get to Washington State also, as I'd love to see Mt St Helens. Not sure if I'm interested in the East coast at all.
Since I was on here last, we sold our house, paid off most of our debts, and are now renting. We have a lot more disposable income than before, so will be able to save a lot of money for this trip. (As opposed to putting it on the credit card like last time). It would be me, my hubby, my daughter (she's 9 now) and my youngest step-daughter (she's almost 13 now). My sister (Aust) and her family are looking at going back to DLR in about 3 years too, but are looking at Christmas in Canada also, so maybe we'd forego Halloween in Oct in order to travel the same time as them - I'd love to be at DLR with my nephew, who will be 5 by then.
Well, I just wanted to get this out there - we should have no problem making it happen! So Disneyland, here I come - AGAIN!
