Very excited: Just booked our DCL cruise on points!

Well, after planning since we bought our first points in August 2000, we pulled the trigger and made reservations for the July 19, 2003 Western Caribbean cruise on DCL. 492 points for me, DW, and DSD (13 at cruise time, and thus a third adult). We are going to try to stop at HH on the way home from the cruise (wish us luck getting a reservation at the seven month mark!) Can't wait to cruise and to see the DVC resort at HH.

We've not yet used points to cruise, but did a cash cruise in May of last year and had a WONDERful time! Now that we're DVC'ers we may just try a 7day. We're adding a day for our 4 day in November!!!

We are doing a 3 day $99.00 cruise in Dec. and won't be able to do a 7 day until 2005 unless they put together an Alaska Itinerary before that That seem so long away.

But I want to see Alaska before I get too much older .

Congratulations on booking the cruise - have fun at Hilton Head.
We joined DVC Nov 2001 after spending 9 nights at the Wilderness Lodge in Oct 2001. We rolled last years points over to this years so-- DH, DS10 and I are cruising on the 7 night Disney Magic Eastern Caribbean. 1st cruise ever for DH & DS - I went on NCL 4 nights Dec 2001.

We've been bitten by the cruising bug! We sailed the 7/6 Western this year. We became DVC members by buying at BCV while on board, and we booked a 4 night Wonder for next year on points!

Excellent. I was just pricing out the 7 night Eastern cruise myself for April 2003. I'm going to check into using points this week. Cruising is so much fun. I can't wait for my DD to try out her first one!

That's great! I really hope it works out with getting your HH ressie. We stopped there for 2 days after our last cruise, and it was the perfect ending to our vacation!

We also booked the 7-day western for November 03. We rented out a chunck of points and will be paying cash, as I think cash offered our family more flexibility in planning. It also left us with enough points for a 6 night stay at BCV next June before our AP expires. You may not want to read this as I think you wanted the same cabins---but we were able to secure 2 ajoining secret porthole rooms-for our family of 5. These were available when we booked 18 months in advance. I'm sure you are as excited about the cruise as we are. Happy planning!!

I am just so happy that you got the secret porthole rooms for your cruise! I'm not sorry in the least when someone benefits from the information on the boards, even if it is not me. I'm ecstatic to be cruising, and would probably accept a stowaway cot in the engine room if it meant being able to go on my first cruise and to share it with my DW and DSD. Have a great time!

We have also booked the Western cruise sailing July 19, 2003. It will be me, DH, DD(10) and DD(13). We have cruised the eastern sailing twice and this will be our first Disney Western cruise.

We had enough points after doing a BCV add-on to do a 7 day cruise AND take a vacation at WDW next year. Just squeezed in a week in a BCV studio too. DH, myself, and 11 yo DD will be on the Oct. 5, 2002 Eastern cruise. I love DVC! Diana
