We are going the week of June 20th and staying at the GF. We booked our trip back in October and got the same discount of 30% off when we booked then. I was hoping that 40% off would be announced today, but after looking at the bookings at the deluxe resorts for the week we will be there I am not surprised at this at all. GF (No Garden view rooms available), CR (TPV Only), Yacht Club (Sold Out), Beach Club (Club Level Only). It seems to me that people are booking regardless of discounts so Disney really does not have the need to offer anything good. I'm however very dissapointed that I will be paying $800 more this year for the same vacation that I took last year (We had 40% off)!!!!!!

So disappointed. I was happy to see that the buzz on the disboards was right and they did announce something today (gives me hope for other chatter) but not a good deal and didn't cover my fall dates

I want a 2 bedroom villas at BCVs or BWVs but there are none for my dates, I'll keep looking though and perhaps one will appear . Hope these new rates help some .

I wonder if this is the first part of "weaning the public off discounts" that we've been hearing about?

If so, I will be enjoying my stay at the Waldorf Astoria. Or, you know, the Holiday Inn. ;-)

I guess we wanting fall discounts will have to wait a bit more, but this new discount does look like Disney is cutting back on the discounts.

I just called to switch to the BC or YC. No standard views already. Only water which is like 500 more. Crazy. . . she said they were gone already?

So I switched to WL. We are there for TG so I'm happy for now! I moved from a Mod to a Del for the same price.

Still think it's weird that there are no standard rooms over at the BCYC already.

Well I'm happy with the offer since I wanted to stay at GF this summer and there was no way I wanted to pay rack rate.

However it sorta stinks that my trip has to be on 2 overlapping discount periods- the previous offer (40% off) would only have covered my last night; the current offer only covers my first 2 nights. I somehow thought that any new offer would have covered the last night since I was arriving during the offer period; I am sure I once read something that implied so but it apparently was not correct. Anyway, seems downright ridiculous that I would have had to make 2 different reservations at 2 different times with 2 deposits in order to get a discount for all 3 nights of my stay. (and I can't change my dates because they are tied to a Disney Cruise)

Well, I'm not going to say I'm fully disappointed, because any discount is better than paying rack rate . . . but, I was also hoping for a MOD discount . . .maybe the AP rates will be better?

I'm going to email DH with some rates and see where he'd like to stay in July.

I've had a 1 bedroom at BLT booked since last fall hoping to be able to apply a discount. Called this morning - absolutely no rooms in any category available for this discount. CM said it was full. Does that mean no rooms will be available for AP discounts?
