I would try pricing room only through the website to see what you come up with. Once you know the room price by itself, you can add back tickets and dining (if you're getting it) to see the total price of the package.

I just called to see what the difference would be to upgrade my reservations from CBR (rack rate) to a deluxe with the 30% off. The CM told me best deal was an additional $650 for the week!!! Does that sound right? Are the deluxes really THAT much more per night than the mods?

$650 does seem high. Was a deluxe club level room?

No, a standard room versus a pirate room at CBR. I just checked the website to compare as a pp suggested - it was closer to 350 difference. Maybe I just need to call back and talk to a different CM?

sticker shock, i do have rooms booked w/points but wanted to check the 'deals' jik they might entice me to switch & save my points for another trip...did so last 2 years for end of July.

speaking as a pin-challenged type, rates not too shabby imo for AK/WL $232, and im sorely tempted to book the MK view for one night @ CR @ $386 just to have good seats to watch wishes.

however, im just dying seeing that the rack rates for the AS are double what i paid the same time last year, wow!!!! $163 for a valuereally?

How funny! I tried to book BCV on points starting July 21st but they didn't have my dates. When the offer came out I went ahead and booked with a cash ressire... under $250 for a studio for all days including the weekend which I don't think is bad at all Save those points for another trip

I find it helpful to know how much my selection should cost. That way you can catch odd ons like insurance and being switched from one level of dining to another without knowing it.

I would price it out on the Disney site myself then you can see what the difference when you call back, with the figures infront of you to compare when CRO prices it out..............I never call without knowing what I expect them to give me as a price............good luck

Although these are not the best discounts, they are still something off. I guess I will upgrade the first part of our split stay from the POP to AKL

Just tried to change to a family suite to save a few dollars, but those were completely booked, too. I guess it is fate for us to give CBR a try. At least we are all paid off!

Last year deluxes were 30% I think. I think you are correct that the offer is the same other than the value/mod being included.

You say you used AAA last year. Isn't AAA only around 10% off? We just joined AAA but the discounts don't appear to be very good at all, unless I'm doing it wrong....

If i had seen BC i'd have grabbed it via CRO too! did you waitlist the dates? I waited too long to book for 1st week of Dec thru DVC, knew better but wasn't sure if we could get the week of vacation, now nothing open @ my home resorts. Either im able to find something @ 7 months or i'll just have to be satisfied with any promo (doubtful as the week is pop warner & it seems most of the previous offers excluded that week this year...in the past i was able to book FDP)

The beginning of December is definitely tough... good luck with your booking... I have found that if you call at exactly 7 months you find that things open up.... I guess because folks book their home resort at 11 months and switch at 7. I actually gave up a BWV standard studio during F&W because DD wanted AKV for her birthday.. I'm sure I made someone VERY happy!

I just called to switch to the BC or YC. No standard views already. Only water which is like 500 more. Crazy. . . she said they were gone already?

So I switched to WL. We are there for TG so I'm happy for now! I moved from a Mod to a Del for the same price.

Still think it's weird that there are no standard rooms over at the BCYC already.

Jim, I would call back. Two day's ago I called to get pricing on what it would cost to upgrade from POR to YC and was given a quote. I didn't change because I wanted to check with my husband on the difference. I called back and the CM told me there were no rooms available at YC and the BC only had water view. I asked to talk to Guest services and they told me the same thing. So, like a good diser I waited 15 min called back and got a different CM and just like that there was a room at the YC. So, I booked it! Don't give up sometimes it might be the CM you got didn't know how to enter something. Good Luck

also remember that the two cheapest deluxes are discounted less than the other more expensive deluxes.

After seeing this discount this a.m. I worried that the AP discount would be bad, and may not include values which I was thinking about for 2 nights before our OKW DVC stay.

So... I decided to call MS and guess what? I got a 1 BD STANDARD VIEW at the bwv. Can you believe it? I'm thrilled.

I just ran some numbers, we are currently booked in 2 rooms at POP, DH,DD20,DD15,DS15 and myself. If we change to the Beach Club, it will only be $63 more, but we like have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. What are your opinions on changing?

so u would be doing one room only now? don't know how much rom u need. if u need the 2 baths then no not a good idea. if u can smash into one room great idea imo.

i went from POFQ to a woods view at the WL and it was 120 more only for 8 nights.

a friend i work with has me really excited about the WL cause we never stayed there but I love it over at the BCYC area.

And during that time someone could have cancelled. So yes always check back, it changes by the minute.

Yep. I remember seeing an interview on TV about reducing the available discounts. He also said they did not want people to get accustomed to the deep discounts of the past couple years and the company is prepared to take any loss due to unfilled rooms or lower attendance. Looks like they are holding true to their word.

Less than $100 difference between standard room at CBR and a standard room at WL. About a $300 or so difference between POP and WL. We're staying 7 nights. To me it seemed like an easy decision to upgrade to WL.
