O.K. it wasn't a 8 out of 10 yesterday but it was a 6 or 7. Crowd tracker said it would be a 2! No way. The wait times at noon for autopia was 55 minutes. All the good rides were at least 40 to 45 minutes or more. We didn't even get to go on Dumbo, peter pan, or Alice. With 3 year olds, (just under 3 actually) you don't wait in long lines. The best was IASM, a 10 minutes wait. It was long but moved fast. We even had to wait in line for lunch at Pizza Port. Living in San Diego I don't have to go when it's crowded and I wanted the first visit to be low key. They actually did really well and loved Tom Sawyer's Island. Even that was crowded though. I know it could have been a lot worse, but I specifically picked this week because I thought it would be down to late January crowds. Oh well, as I said they had fun and we will go back later this year. I also don't really care for the parking lot bit. What a time waster! They moved very quickly, had a lot of buses, but when you come up for the day to visit, all this stuff takes away from your in park time. I still loved being there and once inside the magic takes over. They do everything so well .

Planning a trip to DLR this summer and am curious about this. Is it a website?
Glad you had a nice day overall, though!
Wish I was close enough to either DLR or WDW to go for the day- maybe someday!:lovestruc

If Crowd Tracker (which I am not familiar with) was saying a 2 for yesterday, I would be leery of it's accuracy. There are still schools that are on vacation from winter break. Next week is when everything will die down. It's not "late January crowds" yet because, well, it's only early January. :goodvibes Disney may have officially ended the Christmas entertainment, but the lull doesn't completely hit until mid-late January.

Glad everyone still had fun!

I think also that it had been raining in Anaheim for a couple of days and when you went it was just post rain crowds. ????

Did you at least get on Storybook boats, the train, Main Street cars, Jungle Cruise?

With my little ones, we get a snack at the Main Street bakery on our way in and let the kids eat a snack while waiting for Peter Pan and Dumbo, which are our first stops. Then we head over to Autopia. We save the least crowded rides for after lunch (and eat at off hours, i.e. 11am for lunch): Winnie the Pooh, IASW, the train, Jungle Boat, Storybook. We hit all the popular rides first thing in the a.m. adn go go go until lunch time, then have lunch, visit the happiest potty on earth, then go on the more popular and potentially crowded rides, and then maybe ice cream and souvenir shop during peak times.

Try for right after Memorial Day, that time frame may have pretty low crowds.

I was at the park yesterday and I agree it was pretty crowded, not as crowded as during the Holidays, however. That was crazy!

I think this is largely due to the fact that LAUSD (the largest school district in the nation) is out for this week. I was hoping that with the holiday season demand being over and people needing to return to work it might not be that crowded even if the kids were off but that was not the case. Also the there was a lot of rain during this holiday season so maybe there was still some unmet demand because of that.

But even though the park was more crowded then I hoped it would be at least the crowds were manageable.

Yep. With New Years falling on a Saturday and the need for furlough days for school districts, many in our area are still out of school.

Oh I know why they were crowded and it makes sense. However the crowd tracker had ample time to know that a lot of schools were still out and account for that. If they are just going by last year's info, heck I can find that out myself.

We did do jungle cruise. It had quite a line but like IASM moved very fast. We didn't make dumbo or peter pan because by the time we got to the park after driving up from SD it was 10:30 - 10:45 by the time we got to the park. We couldn't leave earlier because she had to wait until her older child, (who went to school) was dropped off at school. Plus we had to leave around 3:30 to get back to pick her up from Brownies. This is why I wanted a slow day. I go back to school next week. I'm just saying if they had investigated (crowd tracker) a little bit they should have readjusted for so many school districts still being off. Their website claims they use up to date information. So don't waste your time or money just look up what the crowds were last year for the summer months last year. Do not use them for Spring Break info, they could be way off. I should have gone next week, but I didn't want to take a take off school after a three week break.

Im going to be at DL/ CA for MLK holiday weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). How crowded should I expect it to be?

Sorry, is that in January? I'm retired so I don't know when the holidays are anymore.

I'm at DCA today, the longest wait have been TSM at 45mins. Everythings else been about 15-25 mins for the major rides. When I walk past WOC fastpass machines around 12:30pm there were no more fastpast for them, but there's only 1 show tonight.
