Very confused about Epcot!

We are heading to Disney this June. I think I have everything worked out as far as which parks on which days. We'd like to take advantage of EMHs in the mornings and evenings, but probably not everyday. My question is about Epcot. I've just noticed that with my planning we will only be going to Epcot on two days, arriving in the afternoon both times. Will this be a problem trying to ride/do everything? Do I need to reschedule to get us to Epcot on one morning during our trip?

Thanks for any advice!

Depending on the day of the week, you may not be able to ride Soarin if you arrive in the afternoon. Sometimes all the fastpasses are out by noon and the wait standby can be over 75 minutes

Just my two cents here but I would definately try to schedule a morning at Epcot. Too many fun things to do that you might miss otherwise. Plus it will be much less stressful and not as hot.

I agree. I would try to get there one moring just to get in Soarin', test Track, and Turtle Talk

Agree with taking advantage of an early morning. I've found that the PM EMH's at Epcot haven't been very crowded (although this depends on the time of year, obviously) but take advantage of the morning for Soarin' and Turtle Talk, if nothing else.

I agree. To get the most out of EPCOT (or any of the parks for that matter) you ned to be there BEFORE the park opens. Being first in line when the rope drops is a tremendous advantage.

Don't forget to interact with the CMs while you are waiting for the park to open. It can lead to some magical experiences. On our Jan 07 trip we...

Were "Family of the day" at EPCOT. Got to go in early. Ride in the Test Track car that they use in the opening ceremony, got VIP tours of several atractions......no waiting, VIP seating for the EPCOT foreworks that evening and got to meet and get to know some wonderful CMs along the way.

Were selected to be the family that participates in the park opening ceremony at MK. Ride the train with Mickey and crew, throw the "Pixie Dust" from the balcony of the train station to open the park.

Our DS and DD were selected to be in the park opening ceremony at AK.

We got lots of free fastpasses and other perks too. All for being there early and being friendly to the CMs.

I've never been to epcot so am curious also.

The mentions of being there early for certain attractions, is that because they will be too hard to see in the afternoon? Or do they only have certain times to see them?

Soarin' fast passes are usually gone by afternoon.
Test Track becomes very crowded.
Other attractions might be doable but crowds are usually at the highest during the afternoon.

Now you will still be able to enjoy walking thru World Showcase in the afternoon - we have done that before. But you may want to schedule one morning to get the most out of the "ride-type" attractions and then an afternoon as you have planned for World Showcase.

I have to agree with the others. Too many great things to see in Future World that might not be doable if you only go in the afternoons.

If you want to ride soarin' go in the morning and get a fastpass! We got a fastpass at 10:00 and we were scheduled to return at 4:30 or something. and By 10:00 the standby wait was already 80 mins! so the best thing is to get to soarin asap! and if you wanta ride again get a fastpass after you ride. that way you get 2 rides!!

We did a morning EMH day at Epcot and did Soarin and Test Track with no wait. By 10:00, the waits were much longer. We did all the "rides" we wanted that morning (Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space), then we spent the rest of the day riding the monorail and wandering the World Showcase. Our second Epcot day, we didn't get there until after 10:00, but had already done the big ticket attractions so it was fine. I highly suggest getting there before rope drop at least one day. Soarin itself is worth it!
