VERY concerned about ride sizes

I want to switch from my Disney AP to Universal so I'm doing research into Universal and am now very, very concerned about fitting in the rides with limits.

I'm about 5'5" and have lost 30lbs so far but still weigh in at around 240lbs and carry most of my weight in my belly. I wear a 22W pant and 38DDD bust. I used to fit on FJ when I was a size 18-20, but can't remember how snug or not the seats were.

I'm worried about fitting in the seats. Clearly, if I don't fit I'm not interested in Universal and will wait until I've reached my goal weight.

You might very well be OK. I think your height saves you; I was in about those sizes (though my band size was bigger and I hadn't actually moved up to the 22s) and 2 inches shorter, and fit. You will be put in the modified-restraint seats on FJ but if you get TMs like I have, they won't make any sort of a big deal about it, they'll just point you to the seat to take.

Maybe get a one-day ticket, park-to-park, and spend a day there, seeing about those rides. If you fit in enough rides, upgrade the ticket before you leave to an AP. If you didn't, don't.

Good job on losing that 30! You are amazing! Weight loss is one of the hardest things to do in so many ways. Major kudos to you.:dance3::goodvibes

Thanks! I've worked hard to lose even the 30 so far :) And thanks for the advice. I'll probably try to go after the new HP area opens up and make it an all purpose trip :)

You could visit, then if you like Universal, upgrade to an AP while still there. You would only pay the difference.

You are the same size I am, and I have never had a problem on any ride at Universal, so I think you'll be fine. I will say that RRR is TIGHT, but it's actually the only one that even starts out uncomfortable and once the ride starts, I don't even notice it (don't know if the hill shifts me around or what, but it only feels tight right at the beginning. )

This makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing :) hoping it's all fine when I go this summer!

Thanks to everyone who has responded to me, as well :)
