We're going on a very very tight budget. We've looked at the cheapest possible but honestly...maybe cheapest is not the "safest" way to go. We originally looked at Park Inn & Suites...$59-$69 a night....tripadvisor had some scary looking customer pictures. I'm still looking for less than 80-90 a night.....ANYONE have any suggestions....of course as close to dland as possible. Thanks

You can always try Priceline or Hotwire. Of course, you may not get the closest hotel but you can definitely get something for under $80/night.

What dates are you going?

I was trying all the internet sites, but definitely would like to know where we're staying before booking it and I know priceline doesn't offer that. I'm not trying to be too picky but with having a toddler I need something at least safe. I've been using expedia and we'll be going the week of 3/11-3/17

I have never stayed at Park Inn and Suites but I've always noticed that they were the least expensive. There might be a reason why because I have read many, many bad posts about that place. Personally I wouldnt stay there because of it.

We stayed in the off season at Carousel Inn in early Nov. We were able to get a fantastic rate of $59 per night. I know usually it is around $100 per night. Might have been a fluke but you never know. It was actually $20 cheaper by booking it through their website than through Expedia.

Good Luck

I would try for entertainment card rates of $50-70 at the Hojo! If you can't get that, my pick would be the Desert Inn and Suites right across the crosswalk. We've stayed there many times and haven't had any problems. I checked your dates and for the six nights the average is $76 per night. Total of $522.10 for 6 nights after taxes.

Not too bad!

Forgot to add, Park Inn and Suites is a scary scary place. I would not recommend it to anybody!! For a few bucks more above, you get clean and right at the entrance!

Do NOT stay at the park inn and suites. I know someone who decided 'what the heck its on sale for 39 bucks and lets try it' and they were DISGUSTED!!! That would be putting it mildly.
Try the Hojo through www.bcaa.com and click on hotels - you dont have to be a member to book this rate. I got 3 nites for $234 total, taxes included. There are some places on there that come up for about $65/nite with taxes included. You have to pre-pay the room, and it ends up going through TripAmerica Online. Its a great way to book a room if you can pre-pay for it.

Oh also - if you decide on the desert inn & suites, book from THEIR website...they sometimes have a $59 rate on there.

Thank you so much everyone!!! I'll be looking at all these tonight after work!!!

Lollipops mom is right, that's where I got your quote, anaheimdesertinn.com

Ok so I peeked and Desert Inn seems really nice. Any cons at all? Kid friendly? This just might be it :)

We have stayed at Desert inn too and enjoyed it , very close , not new but clean and the staff was nice. Also get continental breakfast , nice when with a little one!

We stay there quite a bit, it is my first choice when not staying onsite. The prices usually can't be beat, it is closer to the gates than the DLH, and it is clean.

We have experienced no problems and I've never seen so much as a single bug there!!! FYI the pool is indoors if that matters to you. The breakfast is toast, oranges, sometimes apples, milk and orange juice. Not a lot but we bring our own cereal and bowls and get milk from there for the morning!

Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Are you all referring to Best Western Park Place Inn? I've only heard/read good things and was planning on booking there for our December trip... Please let me know!

No the OP was talking about the Park Inn and Suites, it is a completely different hotel. The BWPPI is great!

You 'might' try one those Hiway Discount Guides.I got one from Mickey Ds last Sept for a friend of mine. They have coupons for various motels in the area. The only 'downfall' is that they wont always honor them. I got a room for my friend @ the Alpine Inn, coupon $54.00 "I'm sorry, but we are too full to accept the coupon. But do have a room for $82.00". When we got there there was 'maybe' a dozen rooms occupied, out of 60. (I think):rolleyes1

Good luck and have fun.:cool1:

We are going March 7 - 11, 2007. Got a great rate $69 a nite at the Travelodge on Katella. About a 15 minute walk to get to downtown disney monorail. Not to bad. It include a continental breakfast too. Room has 2 queen beds.

We are going March 27-31

We did some research on tripadvisor and saw that many people posted that they got the Crowne Plaza Anaheim (1 miles south of DL )for very cheap on hotwire.

We did a Hotwire search and excluded all areas but DL north and DL south and found a 3.5 star for $59 a night. The Hotwire description said it was similar to Hilton and Crowne Plaza. We bit the bullet and booked it... Voila!! Crowne Plaza!

I checked on expedia, travelocity & hotels.comand the cheapest deal on my dates was $155 a night. There IS a $9 per day "resort fee which includes access to spa and pool, parking and DL shuttle, but parking is $10 at DL, so I'll happily pay it. BTW the beds their look COMFY!
