If you are shooting for a room with the view of the ocean, go for an Inn Room w/Ocean View. This way the view is guaranteed... If you go for a studio, there may or may not be a view of the ocean from the room.
Both rooms are approximately the same size... Inn Rooms have two queen beds, where a studio has a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.
Most of the resort facilities are attached to the Inn Building.... So if mobility is an issue, the Inn room may be the way to go....
September and October are popular months due to the sea turtle hatching, but the rooms are not impossible to get.
Vero is a great place to go and relax... The resort is laid back, and quite different than the hustle and bustle you normally get at WDW.
There are a few places to eat onsite.... Sonya's, Shutter's, the Green Cabin Room, and Bleachers.... Everything else is offsite off of A1A or US1... Captain Hirams and the Ocean Grill are popular.
I would recommend hamburgers in the Green Cabin Room out on the balcony. The view of the ocean cannot be beat.
The beach is great for walking, strolling, or sitting in a chair... Not the greatest for swimming though...
The pool is nice... There is also a sauna, hot tub, and a massage area...
Other activities include the Harbor Branch tour, Shuffleboard, Bike Riding, Tennis, Mini golf, nature tours, and astronomy... The CM's also put together a Weekly Itinary of scheduled activities so that all

The CM's are nice and most are locals, and know the area EXTREMELY well... If your parents need any advice on where to get dinner, or on places to explore, the front desk has a big binder of all the local restaurants and activities...
