Vero Stay and FP?

We are doing a split stay (on rented points) at Vero Beach before going to a WDW property. I read that several people were able to book FP for their Vero stay. Today is 60 days before Vero check-in, but I can't book FP (those days aren't available--still only showing 30 days out). I believed these posts because on MDE it said "Book FP on March 28." Is this something that changed during the recent split stay change? Or SHOULD I be able to book FP (at least for the day we check out of Vero and check in to our WDW resort)?

I'm pretty sure split stays are considered 2 separate stays and will have 2 different 60 day windows.

I get that. But people have noted they could get FP for the duration of their Vero stay. The last day of my Vero stay is the first day of my on property stay. According to this logic I should be able to book FPs for my entire Vero stay, but I would only actually book them for our last day, since that's the only day I would actually be on site.

I don't know for certain since I've never stayed there, but I wouldn't think they'd get the 60 day fast pass advantage. That hotel is no where near Disney, about an hour and a half drive away, so it isn't considered an onsite hotel.

Yeah, I thought it was weird, too, but other DISers reported their ability to do so. And when I added my Vero stay to MDE, my fast pass booking date rolled back several days.

As an FYI for anyone doing a split with Vero first....We are staying at Vero first, then OKW and BWV. Not able to make FP 60 days from Vero stay..have called FP help and they consistently have said that the Vero portion is not counted in the 60 day FP calendar.

I can confirm this. If it did work in the past, they probably fixed it. We have an upcoming trip where we're at OKW, then VB and then back to Orlando but stating off-property on the return to Orlando. When our 60 day window opened it only included the days, including check out day at OKW. The VB dates did not open up until we were within the 30 day window for those days.

Yes, FP for split with Vero first was based upon 60 from WDW portion.
