Went over to the resort for dinner the other night and noticed they have increased the prices at Shutters on most things by $3 give or take.

We've had really awful service the past 2 times at lunch so I was a little bent out of shape about this.

Also, would it hurt them to change their menu? I know most people don't get there as often as we do but a little change every now and then couldn't hurt.

So, just wanted to let you know about the price increase. It can add up after a few meals. :sunny:

I tried to do a search, but didn't someone report that the VB restaurants are now included in the DDE card? If that's true, then that would explain the increase.

That may cause more people to move off site for dining. We already tend to go to Captain Hiram's for most dinners.

Yes the DDE card is now excepted at Shutters, Sonya's and the Green Cabin. We used it 4x on our trip over Pres. Week. Perhaps that the reason.

Althought the food was decent (fish good, steak not so good) and good variety. I felt the service could be improved and the prices a tad high.

I didn't know they took the DDE card. I could have saved a lot of money.

The service lately has really been awful! There are many new servers and some of them are downright snotty. We got up and left during our last lunch becasue it was so bad.

The quality of the food is not what it was. I think there main chef left and I'm not sure who took his place.

Any suggestions for offsite restaurants? Have you found any you really enjoy?

We like Captain Hiram's, Charlie and Jake's, Casey's Place in Vero for lunch.

We are going to try CJ Cannon's this week. It's at the airport.

We eat at the resort restaurants often but probably will cut back due to all the problems.

We've had pretty good food and service at the Ruby Tuesday in Sebastian.

IMO, there just aren't a lot of places to eat in town.

Almost forgot, the Crispers in Vero is good. They have soups and sandwiches.

We will be there for our 1st time 4/10-4/15 - what is the DDE card? Also is there anything special to do for adult time alone? I know at HHI we did the private dinner & it was wonderful.
tks

DDE card is the Disney Dining Experience card. You can buy one for $60 if you have an annual pass. If you are a Florida resident you can buy one as well, but I don't know if it's the same price for Florida residents.

My Dsis had a massage and thought it was a good one.
