Vero Beach

Is or was Vero Beach taking reservations, and has anyone stayed there yet since Frances and pictures if they have thank Kim

But with Jeanne headed for Vero Beach, they may be back to cancelling reservations.

Right now, they are closed. DH was there Friday. They were gracious enough to let him use the ATM (he couldn't find one with cash in it in Vero.)

He said they had all of the furniture moved out of the lobby and other areas and they were checking guests out.

They reopened last Monday after the clean up from Frances.

We went to the resort for dinner last week and they were still doing a lof of work-the ramp to the beach was closed, they were painting much of the interior. Sonya's and the Pirate Ship were closed.

The snack bar by the pool was also closed while we were there.

I guess we will find out next week how much damage they take again.

The barrier islands are now closed to incoming traffic. Last time, it was quite a few days before they opened the bridges back up.

I feel so bad for all of the CM's who are taking a hit to their wallets from these storms. As of last week, there were still a few CM's living at the resort because of damage to their homes.

We're expecting to lose power some time this evening.

My mom has a house in Vero Beach off Rte. 60. Minor damage during Frances- hope the're just as lucky during this one. Hope you stay safe. My son is in college in St. Augustine- he has been evacuated. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
