We are planning our first DVC trip for next May. Can't wait!!! We have booked 5 nights at SSR, our home resort and are hoping to stay at Vero Beach for two nights (Fri&Sat).

1. Is booking at Vero at the 7 month mark a problem?

2. Anyone have any recommendations for room requests at Vero?

Can't say on the 7th month window.

We've stayed in both a studio and an ocean view inn room. We now prefer the ocean view inn room because of the 2 queen beds and the view.

You shouldn't have a problem in May. Our home resort is VB, and we booked an Inn room for a week in Mid March for an early May stay. Now booking in the summer at the seven month mark can be hard. We have friends that go to VB every summer and they have had a hard time booking a 2brm at the seven month mark, but have always gotten a room.

Our home resort is BWV. We are staying at VB in a 2BR this August, checking in right at the beginning of the month. I made the ressie exactly 7 months out, on a day by day basis. The CMs I was speaking to at the time seemed to be continually implying that I was getting in "just as the door was closing" (in terms of villa avialability). I also suspect I would have been out of luck if I'd been shooting for a late June through July stay; historically that's the peak summer period at both VB and HH.

The only issue you may have @ the 7th month window is around Memorial Day weekend. Don't know how that effects your ressies.
