We've stayed twice, both times in the main building. First time in Spring '02 next time in Summer '04. First trip w/ DS4(then), next w/ DS6(aged since '02) & DS18mos(newbie since '04) both times we had a great time. Only ate the hotel food a couple times, but did have a Character Brfst w/Goofy & Max which was fun. Don't remember anything wowwing me or not being good meal wise...although like I said, only had a few meals (it was kind of pricey). The kids activities, pool, mini-golfing, etc was AWESOME and most times free and the organizers/CMs did a wonderful job. Oldest DS went to "un-birthday" parties, did scavenger hunts around the play areas for undersea items (rubber fish, etc), golfed, golfed, golfed a little more, and swam, swam, swam! There is a tall lighthouse at the pool with spiral staircase inside and spiral slide on the outside emptying into the pool which even DS18mos would do solo! The "kiddie" pirate ship/water area is so cool for little folks, spray guns, captain's wheel, water bubbling up here and there, it is just cool. The resort is located on the beach, but (at that time, but maybe different since hurricane damage) with tall foliage separating the resort from the beach and a wooden walkway w/ steps or ramp down to the beach. I'll have to admit that June was HOT and HUMID and I didn't enjoy the beach at all, but the spring visit was very pleasurable at the beach. Hope you have fun!!
