Just received the following email this evening -

Must be trying to make the final push to sellout. What is Vero Beach point cost up to now without MB?

And what "special financing" are they offering?

VB is $84 per pt without MB's. ($69 per pt with MB's)

If it's 90% sold, what would that make the projected sellout date at the current rate of sales? My guess is you've still got LOTS of time to think it over.

Talked to our guide about VB during our recent stay and she told us there was also an $10.00 incentive offer that allows you to keep your current years points and not sell them back. That's $74.00/pt keeping the current years points. Not a bad deal if you rented those points out, it would bring the cost of VB down to $64.00/pt

what does that mean? can you sell your yearly points back to disney?

i knew if you want to sell your deed disney had the right of first refusal....

but i didn't understand the current year point comment...

The Vero Beach magical beginnigs program is a way to lower the overall cost of joining DVC. Usually under the program, Disney will buy back your first years allotment of points, and in exchange they pay you $15.00/pt for them. Under the new VB incentive program, Disney will give you $10.00/pt cash, and you don't give back any of your first years alotment. Disney does this only for a new purchase of points, they will not buy back your unused points in the future.

Just curious - in the Vero email I received yesterday, it mentioned the current $15 MB deal for 50 points, but it said nothing about the $10/$74 per point/keep the points for the current year deal. Anyone get offered that deal in their email?

I believe the $10.00 off/keep your points deal was for a 50pt add-on, or a 150pt new purchase.

The $10 deal was not mentioned in the email - you didn't miss it!

This deal has only been communicated to members via their guides... Mine left a message on my answering machine last week...

I'm pretty sure the minimum purchase was 50 points for either offer... (I can't tell you for <i>sure</i> - as my DH quickly deleted the message off the machine! )

I ran it by my husband and he said he would ok the $74 on twenty five more points but that he would not go for the 50. For some reason he thinks we have plenty...?! I wish I knew if it was on the 25 purchase and I would do it right away maybe I will call my guide.
