Vero Beach Resort

How is Vero Beach resort? Did anyone get a booking 7 months out in value season? Thinking of 5 nights here before a 4 night cruise. Would 5 nights be too long? Travelling with 10 & 4 year old. Will they be bored? Is there lots to do?

P.S. What's the difference between a Deluxe Inn room ocean view VS. a studio? They are the same point value.

WE once booked an Inn room ony 6 weeks ahead. This was for late May. Inn Rooms have a better view of the ocean as long as you are on the 3rd floor or higher. All Inn rooms are in the main building. I was advised by my original DVC guide that Inn rooms are a better value than the studio. Good luck!

After just completeing our first visit to Vero beach with my 12 yo and 5 yo old I can assure you the kids will not be bored. In fact mine loved it so much they want to go there more then WDW now.

Guess I'm just going to habve to start going to Dsiney World by myself!

Our family of five went to V.B. for the first time this past July. I have three children, 16, 13, &4. We stayed in an Inn room with a view of the ocean. We stayed for seven days and had a great time. The next time we go I will get a one bedroom. The boys started to get on each others nerves by the end of the trip.

I was surprised how many people travel to the ocean but swim in the pool. We stayed on the beach for most of the day and hit the pool later on. There was nice things to do for my daughter who is four. Arts and crafts, games, so on. The older boys did not want to take part in the teen activities.

Traveling to Walmart and Publix was a very easy ride. I highly recommend buying your breakfast food and snacks at Walmart and bringing it back to your room. We did eat at the character breafast. It was all you can eat. Kinda pricey but the kids had a great time.

It is just my opinion and I know that others may disagree but I did not care for Capt. Hiram's. The seafood was not what I quite expected. It was also very pricey.

Over all it was a great trip and I would do it again. We had no problems booking 7 months out during prime season.
