I wanted to see if anyone who has stayed here knows if a family of 4 can
stay in a studio sized room?

thanks!! :flower1:

I believe answer is yes, but you should check to see if the studio has 2 beds or 1 bed and a pullout couch.

We staying in a studio in the "Inn" part of the resort and the room was HUGE. Plenty of space for 4 people.

We really liked VB and will be returning in the couple of years to stay there again.

We stayed in the Inn Summer before last in a studio room. There were two doubles, a small fridge, microwave and sink. There was also a small balcony with a couple of chairs and a small side table. Our room overlooked the crokett lawn. We were on the top floor and the room was considered ocean view. However, there is a forest of sea grape treas that block the view of the beach and the only ocean you could see was the water beyond the actual beach. You might request a pool view on one of the upper floors and have a more desireable view. If you are on one of the lower pool view floors you will have a view of the roof of the bar.

BTW, my 4 year old still remembers the Tiger Lilly and wants to go back! He was just barely 3 at the time. It is a great resort if not a great beach.

hey, do you guys remember what you paid?
I hear they offer an AP rate, it isnt available for June yet.

thanks for your replies!! :wave2:

We loved Disney's Vero Beach Resort so much in 2003 that we went back in 2004 and will be going back again in 2005.

We had the ocean view 2nd from the top floor Inn room both times. It's huge! Wonderful balcony with a gorgeous view. It is of the ocean and not the beach. Which is actually kind of nice. You just see the peaceful blue water and not the people on the beach.

What I like about it so much is that you're very secluded from other resort areas. It's just you and the other guests on the beach.

The pool is awesome with the lighthouse slide!

The saturday buffet is delicious!!

Captain Hiram's just north by 10 minutes in Sebastian is a wonderful Floridian dinner!!!

Mel Fisher's Treasure Museum also in Sebastian is fascinating!!!! (By the way, there's a $5 off coupon in the Almanac in your DVB room)

My DW and DD7 can't wait to go back again!

What is the beach like? Is there much surf? Can you swim in the ocean easily? Or is there heavy currents and warnings, etc... . Do kids use boogie boards in the water?

Thanks, reason asking went of the "disney cruise" and castaway has little to no surf. But want to do a few "disney" beach days.

I don't think you need to worry any more about the "forest of sea grape trees that block the view of the beach and ocean" anymore. The berm that blocked the view was significantly eroded (essentially destroyed) by the hurricanes this season. There is now a gentle slope down to the ocean. Tons of sand have been trucked in to rebuild the beach itself.

Yup, the forest of sea grapes is gone. They have been thinned out quite a bit.

You can see the ocean just standing on the walkway behind the resort that goes to the pool.

The hurricane kinda changed the landscape of the resort. The access to the beach is also different.

There are still many plants in the area near the ocean. I'm sure it will take them some time to grow back. We've always been able to see the ocean from the 4th floor rooms.

A lot of the resort is new and shiny since they had to make many repairs after the hurricane.

It's looking better than ever. Enjoy!

We stay in an Ocean View Inn room every year with our two DDs and there is plenty of room for the 4 of us.

If you want 2 beds versus 1 bed and a pull-out couch I would do an Inn room instead of a studio... otherwise they two rooms are basically identical.
