Vero Beach question

I will be going to my "home" for the first time on Wednesday. I love to walk the beach. Can anyone tell me if resort guests are able to walk the beach for any distance?

I just checked the weather and it's going to be sunny and upper 70's ! Woo hoo!

The beach is public - afaik, there are no restrictions to walk on it.

Keep in mind that the hurricane damage may not be all repaired yet, so some areas may be restricted for safety's sake. Also, many of the beach access points/stairways are not public (you might find them blocked or locked), so you may have to return to the VB resort access to get back to the resort.

We walked in both directions for quite a while, but haven't been there since before last fall's hurricanes.

You can walk quite a way...the beach is gorgeous! The public beach just to the North is technically closed...but I didn't notice anything going on that would restrict you from walking through that property at the water line.

We didn't walk off of the Disney property...but I have a picture facing south and there's nothing blocking off the beach or anything like that.

The only downside is that there is not anything to walk along the beach to, like a lounge, ice cream shop, etc. But there's plenty of beach to walk.

we have always found that both to the north and to the south, there is more beach to walk on than we have endurance to walk!

we have walked at least a mile in each direction - you might want to take a hat, water, and a towel (for shoulders and/or drying off if you swim elsewhere)

the beach is open - we were there the first day the resort opened after the storms and there was no problem walking each direction

just don't go too far east!

Florida beaches, at least at the water line, are open to the public.....may take a few days to reach the Keys.
