Vero beach Pirate Dinner

Who has been to the Pirate Dinner at Vero? Whats your review of the event? I understand its Donald and Goofy? Do most people dress up? How does the food work, and what is typically on the menu? Is there anything else special about the night? Thanks for your information. Pictures would be great as well!

Did the pirate dinner in Aug 2013, lots of fun. Yes Donald and Goofy are there, and they spend a lot of time at each table since the restaurant is small. They also greet you at the door. Bring your camera, it is kind of dark so your phone might not be enough. Don't remember if there was a special menu, I think we ordered from the regular menu. They provided us with basic pirate gear (head scarf and black eye patch) and we had made our own sword during the day, since the whole day has a pirate theme. Lots of fun. Do make reservations in advance by calling the resort! By the way if my son is not smiling much it is because he was a pirate and pirates don't smile.
