If we have an Ocean View Inn Room do I need to ask for upper floors or is it that we will see the ocean from the room with this booking category?

I have read about some rooms on ground level that you could hear the ocean but not see it , but this probably is not the OVIR and is another category.

Thank you for your help!

If possible try to get the upper floors. We were on the 4th floor and the view was nothing short of spectacular. However, since the rooms start on the 2nd floor, the view might be good there too. Have a great trip:goodvibes

Thanks for your push . I called MS :thumbsup2

I don't even know why I posted the question , I should have just called MS to start with and put the request in. Whats the worst that could happen , get the room I was going to get without the request anyways?

So when I called I also asked about a discount on a cash reservation I have for the first weekend in June ( I have been calling 2-3 a month ) and the discount had opened up and I got the discount !!!!

When we went, our room was on 4th floor, and view was great, but the Green Cabin Room is on the 2nd floor, and the view was awesome from there, too. So, I think you'll get a good view either way. I don't believe there are any Inn rooms on the ground floor. Enjoy your stay!

I always like to remind people that the Ocean View Inn Rooms category includes rooms facing the north and south(pool) as well as the east(ocean). All will have a view of the ocean, some the view will be to the side. I have only stayed in rooms facing the ocean so can't comment on the acceptability of the view.

An "ocean view Inn room", will, by definition offer a view of the ocean! ;) (funny how it works like that!)

Our ocean view room faced north. You could see the ocean if you were on the balcony, leaned over and turned your head to the right.:rotfl: It was disapointing but did not ruin a wonderful trip. You will love Vero. Enjoy.

It is all in the interpretation of 'view' by the guest. I just wanted to point out that VBR might have a wider defination.

Not necessarily true. Before the hurricane most below the 3rd floor did not offer much or any view of the ocean at all. And for timeshares in general I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the "view" designation. If you think of it as more of a location designation than a view from that unit guarantee, you'll be a lot better off and a lot more accurate.
