Any Member Perks worth noting while at Vero Beach?? A while back, I think I remember reading that DVC members get free movie rentals??? Not that I am planning on sitting in my room, but just wondering what is available to DVC members.

Discovery Scuba

Disney Discovery Club

Guests ages 4 to 12 can enjoy games, crafts, dinner and movies.
Hours: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

Fishing Fundamentals

This 90-minute class teaches the basics of "catch and release" fishing on land before you try your luck in the lake. You even get to keep your rod and reel. For ages 7 and older.

Garden & Gallery Tour

Stroll through peaceful McKee Botanical Garden and visit the Vero Beach Museum of Art. Light snack included. All ages welcome. An adult must accompnay Guests under 18.

Faux Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing)

Learn the Japanese art of Gyotaku (painting with fish) and design and decorate your own keepsake T-shirt (included in the program). For ages 6 and older.

Introduction to Wine

Jungle Trail Bike Adventure

Visit the nation's first wildlife refuge accompanied by a naturalist on this 10-mile bike ride for ages 12 and older. A participating parent or guardian must accompany Guests under 18. Ask for current schedule at check-in.

Kayak Adventure

Paddle your way to excitement as you enjoy the Indian River. Total trip time is 4 hours. Double kayaks are available. Ages 8 and older are welcome. An adult must accompany Guests under 18.

This one-hour class teaches basic snorkel techniques in the pool. You even get to keep your mask and snorkel! Swimming ability is required. For ages 7 to 15.

Surfing Lessons

Learn surfing basics from instructors at Lou Maresca's Surf School. Surfboards, wetsuits (if needed), drinks, snacks and towels are provided. Advance registration is required. For ages 12 and older.

If you take advantage of the mini golf (I bet you will) sign up for the week per person. I think for memebers it is something like $5 per person. THis is great for the kids they just go to Eb and Flo's flash room card with mini golf sticker and off they go! This is also a great perk for Mom and Dad too!!!
