Be there on Sunday. Planning a pool day
Come say hello, we will be there Sunday until 1-2pm. Hopefully the guys not working Sunday. We have a couple of mugs working until 13/3 will be fine if you give them a wash if you want them and don’t have any.

Does anyone know what type of filter the coffeemaker in a 2 bedroom takes. Is it cone or basket type? Help please, we arrive Friday & I'm trying to figure out which type to bring. Thanks.

Wouldn’t they have filters for use in the room already?

When we were there last June, the coffee maker took the basket type. It was a Keurig duo coffee maker.

It’s probably basket type, but we’ve been bringing both kinds because of the uncertainty. They don’t take much space and don’t weigh much!

Not empty ones. They provide coffee in little filter packets, not loose grounds and separate filters. We don’t care for the provided coffee, so we bring our own grounds and filters.

Ahh, gotcha. That makes sense.
I was thinking, whoa they’re picky about filters. lol

From early May through late August 2026, the Green Cabin Room Lounge at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will close for refurbishment. A temporary lounge space will be available in the SeaGrape Room, located just off the lobby. Additional food and beverage options are available at Wind & Waves Grill, Bar and Market. During this time, Guests may see and hear work during daytime hours.

hope they keep the nautical theming and don't "update" too much... hopefully this means the furniture will be replaced. praying for a new menu up there too!

We just got back from a 5-night stay at Vero (Ocean View Inn room). It had been over ten years since we had visited Vero and I was little nervous based on some of the things I had read, so I thought I'd give a quick summary for those thinking of visiting. We were there for a high school baseball spring training trip, so we spent a lot of time driving to/from the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (about 20 minutes away). It was just my husband and me so I can't comment on any of the kids' activities.

Overall it was a great experience. We did not have any problems with our room and the cast members were great. The weather was not great so other than a couple hours by the pool and beach, we did not try any of the activities that were offered.

Since it wasn't really beach weather, when we weren't at baseball we were looking for things to do. We walked the jungle trail. It was about 7 miles. It was a nice walk except for the last couple of miles when you are on the road. It would definitely be a nice trail to bike as well. We also walked some trails at the Lagoon Greenway. That was a nice walk along the Indian River Lagoon. They had a couple of trails around 2-3 miles.

As far as dining, we ate at Wind & Waves (very average but is fine if you need a place to eat), Green Marlin (excellent, highly recommend), Sean Ryan Pub (big bar, good, affordable bar food), and Curfew (very good, would recommend). The Green Marlin was our favorite. We also spent a couple of nights in the Green Cabin Room, great atmosphere, excellent margaritas! Finally, we ate at the marketplace a couple of times. It was good, a unique menu for a quick service.

My only complaint about the resort is that there should more places to fill up your mug when the marketplace is closed (it was open 8:00-9:00). I did appreciate the coffee in the lobby from 6:00-8:00! If we are back in the area I would not hesitate to stay there again! I hope that helps those of you who are planning a trip!

Just looking to book at 7 months, is Inn room the only option for ocean view?

Also what’s the main difference between inn room and studio?

Thanks

Inn room is only option guaranteed for an ocean view as a category

Inn Rooms are in the main building

Studios are in the villas out-buildings
Perfect, so Ocean View Inn Room is what I’ll be trying for… but in case it’s not available, I just want a studio and request ocean view?

I see on the map it shows Villa Buildings and Cottages, I assume cottages are just 3bdrm and villa buildings are all just studios (and 1 & 2 bdrm)

Thanks

Yes and yes. Keep in mind that the villa studios with ocean views are few in number, both as a result of the layout of the villa buildings themselves and the landscaping and cottages blocking ocean views from the lower floors of the villas. And, of course, that would be a request that may not be fulfilled. The 3-bed cottages and the ocean views inn rooms are the only way to be assured of an ocean view. We have sometimes had to book a standard view inn room and wait list the ocean view. The wait list has always filled when we’ve done that.

Some of these are going pretty far back, but I’m trying to make the most of my 3 nights! 8-)

What are some of your favorite restaurants in the area? I heard there is a taco stop that is really good!
Did you take this trip already?
What did you find?
Any recommendations?

When considering Wind & Waves, it is important to remember that Citricos it is not...

However, the food is solid, and usually well prepared. Some favorite items for us include the Oscar style fish, the pizza (rotates daily), the Fish & Chips.

Compared to other Disney restaurants, it is stronger than many, and seems to straddle a line (and price point) between the table service and signature restaurants.

Overall we prefer breakfast there to dinner, but enjoy the dinner there as well.

We have a three night stay booked later this fall, and will eat at wind and waves with frequency.

For all the refurbishments that seem to be ongoing and never-ending at VB, it is a shame to me they have not updated the furniture in the Green Cabin Room upstairs. The ambiance is perfect, and I am more than okay with with it having the slightly dated bar atmosphere. However, most of the chairs are so past their useful life... time to replace them... not sure if the dues afford that or not, but maybe they'd be willing to take up a collection.... I don't even own at Vero and I'd be willing to donate a few bucks to have more comfortable seating for the drinks classes and trivia in the bar...

I have found the spa to be reliably disappointing....

It will be a sad day in 2042 when Disney exits VB and HHI... I'm hoping we get a year or two of transition at the very least...
Good info, thanks!!

We love the area. Dining; Squid Lips (sounds strange), Ocean Grill and Waldo's are great. Here is a link https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g34709-Vero_Beach_Florida-Vacations.html. Have Fun!!
Added to my list.!!
Have you been recently, and all still good?

You are 1.5 to 2 hours from MCO and restaurants aren’t exactly close by. We do a lot of dining in Sebastian which is about 15 minutes away.
IMO you are going to need a car.
What are your favs in Sebastian?

Same! Fingers crossed for next May.

By far my favorite Disney resort!!!
Favorite of all?? That’s encouraging!

Excellent info, I’ll be sure to waitlist if needed!!

Thanks for the info, all!!
Never been to VB (or the Atlantic Ocean) so I want to make the most of the few days we’ll be there. Possibly make it a regular thing before all WDW trips. :)
