We will be at Vero Beach during the last week in October. What is the weather like during that time of year? Also, does anyone know if they have any Halloween activities for the children? Any and ALL advice for vacationing at VB at this time of year would be greatly appreciated!!:D

We were in Vero last October. The weather was fabulous.

Not so warm at night but there were no bugs.

We left just before Halloween but they were planning lots of activities.

It was great, we were there at Easter this year and again had a great time.

We came home with a number of nice items that our daughter had made in the Club.

Have a great time

If you want any more specific info let me know.

Phil

Thanks, Phil, for your insight! We've been there in June but never in the fall. I hope they still do activities for Halloween! Also, were the activities your daughter participated in part of the 2DC? We've never tried those but think we will this trip.

Activities making crafts etc. were mainly in the Community Hall.

My 8 year old loves 2DVC and she has been in every one of our 7 visits.

If Halloween is on a Wednesday which I think it is ther is a 2DVC club and I am sure they will do something, you can also ring ahead (which we do to book her in).

Mind you the price has now increased to $30(includes a meal). I suppose $10 an hour isn't too bad?

Phil,

Well......I'm always open for as much info as possible! I sure do appreciate yours, don't get me wrong! Just wondering if anyone (you included!) has even MORE tips, etc.!!! Any suggestions on things to do outside the resort? We're really planning to just relax, but suggestions are always welcome! DH just booked us today for 5 nights at VB and 2 at OKW for the last week in Oct (and first 2 days in Nov.)!!! Can't wait!!!

:D

We were there last year for Halloween and the kids had a great time. The weather was great and the ocean was warm enough to swim in.

They decorated one of the beach houses like a haunted house for the week. They then had the kids dress up and had a resort wide trick-or-treat on Halloween. They also told spooky stories (not very spooky) at the campfire. There was also various crafts and activities with the Halloween theme.

Make sure you bring costumes because you will get to use them.

Have fun.

Fenceman,

Thanks so much for your Halloween info! Was it really hot/warm--trying to already think ahead for costumes! I'm sure we'll really enjoy the holiday there! Sounds like fun!
