Vero Beach Cottage

Wondering what our chances would be of booking one of the cottages at Vero Beach for July 2006. We would need to book at 7 month window. Has anyone been successful in the past at 7 months, or is this simply out of the question?

I don't think anything is impossible, but I think July could be tough at the seven month window.

Perhaps you could work a trade with someone who may need the 11 month window at your home resort.

I have tried for two years to get a beach cottage at the 7 month window, and haven't had any luck. I always try for the end of June, maybe that's an unusually busy time. I do know that all the chaise lounge hoggers stay there then. There was not a free chaise lounge all week--no people, but the chaise lounges were full, with towels, bags, and assorted junk on them, even at 6 am.

I needed a specific time frame for a BC , and not being a VB owner, opted to rent the points - so thankfully I have a BC for the time I needed (prior to a DCL cruise), that might be the way you have to go. Something to thing about!

You may try the rent/trade board. I was interested in a trade but the person who responded wanted a price per point on top of the trade. Which I kinda understand considering their maintaince fees are higher but I passed. So we've stuck to 2 bedrooms theres only 4 about to be 5 of us so its plenty of room. Good Luck.
