Vero Beach....beach questions

We will be going to Vero Beach in Aug. This will be our first time there(DH is "Checking it out" for Vac Club) Can someone tell me about the beach? Do they have umbrellas, or cabanas? We will be taking our DS who is a special needs child and doesnt relaly enjoy the sun and a 1 year old. I also would love to know if they have sand wheelchairs available? Somewhere I thought I saw that they did. Thanks for the info.

I have seen cabannas (and rented them), beachchairs, and umbrellas. I've also seen a water wheelchair that looked like it could go in the ocean with big floats for wheels. I can't remember seeing normal wheelchairs, but a call to the resort might help. There is a handicap access stairs for entry into the pool too from a wheelchair. Regretably it is not a "0" access entry. There are ramps to the beach and all areas.

Thank you so much for the info. We will be bringing DS's chair with us but it is terrible on the beach/sand. I am going to call ahead t make sure we do not need any special reservations for the sand/beach wheelchair. thank you again for the info.
