I saw pictures of destroyed mobile homes in Wabasso (that is just over the bridge from the resort. I hope that everyone was evacuated from them.

i live in the port charlotte area after moving here from west palm beach on aug 1. I went to vero for 3 days after hurricane charley so i wouldn't have to boil water, keep checking my internet connection and suffer without cable for ONE MORE DAY, lol. Also, I wanted to go to a clean looking area (orchid is so beautiful) with the kids while school was out til the 30th due to the storm damage. Vero is such a nice town.

I heard on one of the news stations that Capt Hirams was damaged, not sure how bad though. my mom is here with me in port charlotte having evacuated from west palm on weds night.

looks pretty bad to me over there from what I saw. We have lots of wind and rain here.
