Vero Beach - Activities

We are amusement park fanatics but decided to use our points at Vero Beach this year. Lots of whining going on about "what are we going to do there? There aren't any rides".

I really can't answer their questions. Any suggestions for activities or side trips?

BTW - "That's where we're going and you're gonna have fun whether you like it or not"

If you want to venture out... ..here are a few options...
1.Cape Canaveral-Kennedy Space Center- 55 minute drive
2. Vero Beach Dodgers (L.A. Dodgers Minor League team)-10 minutes
3.Indian River Mall-20 minutes away,Movie theater,Food court
