you have been added to roll call, enjoy your stayRoll Call check-in: We'll be there in a 1BR 7/4 - 7/6, with the night of 7/3 waitlisted. It's our second stay at VB. Can anyone tell me about activities on the Fourth of July? Will there be a Pirate Night at Shutters that night, since it's a Monday? How do I reserve that?
Thanks for all the info!
you have been added to roll call, enjoy your stayWife and I are staying in a 1 bedroom villa May 29th - June 6th. We have stayed at VBR every Memorial Day week since 1997 and we were there for NY's Eve 1999. So I guess that makes this our 21st time to stay there.
How do you get from the walkway to the actual beach down that sand ledge? I have severe COPD and climbing up hills makes me very short of breath. Will I be able to go to the beach. (The normal sloping ramp is a bit tough for me)
We were there in 2014. If I remember correctly there is a ramp that comes off the board walk deck down on to the beach. I do not think there was any big incline once your on the sand. I believe it was pretty flat. You just have a ramp to walk up and down to get on and off b the beach.
took your advice on the truffle butter popcorn- it was amazingly good! and only $4 bucks! We are on the second floor right now. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. We are in an ocean view. The weather is about 80 *. I would had taken pictures of the room but my kids and husband unpacked too quickly. The Green Cabin Bar has the best truffle popcorn. Their flatbread is great too. We went to Shutters for Easter brunch. It was okay. Not something that I would do again.
Glad you enjoyed the truffle popcorn. We stayed in the exact room 2228/2226 the week before you.We just returned yesterday from a wonderful stay in room 2228. The new rooms are wonderful! They really have thought of everything. The only drawback was the ceiling fan wobbled occasionally in the middle of the night, but other than that it was great!View attachment 160551 View attachment 160552 View attachment 160553 View attachment 160554 View attachment 160555 View attachment 160556
yes there is a Publix on Route 1 about 10 minutes away, one on A1A about 20 minutes away and if you go by way of 95 there is one at the intersection of 510 and 512 about 20 minutes awayIf I'm coming to VB from WDW, will we pass a grocery store on the way in?

They did a dune restoration project last year along the beach that kind of brought alot of sand back up against the ramp but they tappered it to the beach. I post a picture of what it looked like last October. We were also there in December but i dont remember it being much different, although i have seen the beach get changed day to day by high surf.We were there one year where there was an 8 foot high "ledge" left by storms It was completely in front of the resort, and buried the ramp. This picture looks like that I couldn't navigate that any longer and I am wondering if this is like that, or just where it should be a dune
