VERO BEACH 2016 Information & Adoration Thread

Mmccarthy, Have a Fabulousextended family trip! Hope that you get some last minute pixie dust, never know! If you get to Vero, would love to hear your impressions regarding renovations going on. CAN'T WAIT for our upcoming Vero trip!!

It will be my first trip to Vero Beach in early June. I saw the note about Sonya's closing and called the resort to confirm. They said Shutters and Bleachers also closing 'mid June'. Fortunately Shutters & Bleachers will still be open for my visit, but it's so strange they are winding down their food options in the middle of summer. They said they would serve food from the conference rooms. My kids have allergies - anyone managed to get Gluten Free options at Bleachers? Looking at the menu it seems to just be Burgers/Chicken nuggets/Pizza etc Thank you!

I just returned from VB and also have food allergies. You will see a chef at Bleachers. They were very accommodating

I received a call today telling me that the Pirate Dinner was being cancelled and that the last Pirate Dinner with Characters was going to be June 13th. Has anyone else received this call?

Just returned from our trip to Florida where we visited vero for our first stay. I'm completely in love! Yes there was a lot of construction, the only time it annoyed me was when I was hoping for an afternoon nap in the room but they were laying carpet on the 4th floor (we were on the 2nd). Loved the resort though and can't wait to go back!

Did you make the reservation at Shutters? We have a dinner reservation there for the 4th, but I was told it's not a Pirate dinner.

Yes, just ask to talk to the chef. They handle it just like at WDW. It is a quick serve place.

A wait list came through, we'll be there for an extra day in July!

GREAT to hear, EXCITED to be back, its been almost 6 years this August.

I haven't seen any. I know they are going on but I haven't looked at / for anything. I'm enjoying the resort though. I can see why they need it, but I enjoy it.

WE are going to be there end of July and haven't received a call or email yet.

Nope. Said they had the room open and wanted to know if we wanted it. I'm sure it isn't the reason but I'd like to think it was an anniversary present

I've enjoyed the Pirate Dinner and breakfast with Goofy. I will be sad to see either go.
