Trust me, I'm glad I did. I had originally booked July 24-26 thinking the release would be on the 25th and had to scramble to switch my booking from July 24-26 to July 31-Aug 2. That was especially fun with an August use year, lol. Thanks to some interesting maneuvering, patience and some waitlist luck, we got everything switched. Hopefully I'll have some good Tour de Turtles pictures to share next month.

I have a question and I apologize if this info was already mentioned and I missed it somehow. When we were there last time, we bought boogy boards, pool noodles, etc at the store on our way to the resort. When we were checking out, we weren't sure what to do with them and we noticed lots of similar items down by the bike rack near the pool. Do people typically leave their unwanted pool/beach items there? We did and we hope that someone used them.
If this is where people drop off unwanted pool/beach stuff, then we'll check there before buying things this time.

What do you think my luck will be in waiting for the 7 month window to book the second weekend in June a GV. I know there are only 6. This isn't until June 2017, or should I look for a transfer of points to get the 11 month window?

I haven't been on the boards for a while. We had to cancel our Disney vacation last year. This year, we will be at Vero from 8-5 to 8-19. I can't wait. All adults. My mom, brother and myself. We have been there three times. This will be our fourth time but it has been several years. Is the ocean calm? One year we went and the water was quite rough.

We just might be booking an unplanned (until this point) trip for the first week of November. I wasn't expecting to see the average temps (air and ocean) as high as I did. We have to decide between this or Food & Wine for our anniversary.

Question: If you start your vacation at Vero and then move on to Walt Disney World can you purchase refillable mugs at Vero and then take them with you to WDW? We are spending 5 days at Vero and then moving to WDW for 9 so its a total of 14 days. I've read that they are coded for 14 days, but will they combine the reservations for the mugs? TIA

Well we ended up booking F&W so Vero will have to wait. We can't wait to go back though!

Yes, they will honor the mugs. We were at Vero last month and when we bought the mugs the CM told us that if we were heading to WDW that the mugs would work there also. And they did!!

Hi all. We are arriving at Vero Beach from the UK in less than a month! Very excited. Am I able to ship a box of supplies from Walmart to the resort as I would in WDW? Will they hold it a few days for my arrival? I searched the thread but couldn't find this information. Thanks for your help!!

Just returned from VBR. This was our third time staying, and always enjoy ourselves. This time we needed to be moved.....twice! There was a broken pipe leaking water into 5 rooms, and they could not find the source. The resort is starting to feel a bit dated inside, so I was happy to hear from one of the maintenance workers that the whole place is going to get a major makeover starting in January. Doing one section at a time, ripping it right down to the studs.
