going june 26th
want to saty at vero for 3 days and disney world for 2 days and i dont care in which order
my question is would i be better off trying to get vero first because it would be more difficult to get or will it matter?
so my vacation will either look like June 26,27,28 at vero with june 29 and 30 at disney world maybe beach club or boardwalk

or do siney first june 26 and 27 at disney world and 28, 29,and 30 at vero

any advice on which would be easier to book..plan on booking on 7 month window

BTW there will be 4 of us staying in studios

We are at Vero right now for our first stay. We went to WDW for 9 nights then came here for 4. We have met several families here that do it every kind of way. Some come here first then do Disney. Some do Vero after Disney like we did. My son met a family that did Disney for several days, then Vero and are going back to Disney.

I think either way is fine personally. We have enjoyed having NO schedule and getting lots of relaxation at the end of our trip because we did a long stay at WDW. If we did a shorter stay..we might come here first.

You are going to get all sorts of answers probably. I am of NO HELP. :rotfl: Good luck...either way..you will enjoy your trip.

This year we were in Vero from June 27 to July 1st and then WDW from July 1 to the 5th. Next year we want to do WDW over the 4th first and then go to Vero. People here mention that that's more relaxing and so we thought we'd give it a try!

I would definitely book the Vero as soon as you can at 7 month. You could try for it before WDW, and if you get it fine. Since you want a studio, I think you would be able to get it either way, before or after WDW. I think the studios there are booked after the inn rooms, generally speaking.

I would book your home resort for all nights when your 11 month window opens up.

When the 7 month window opens up, call and see what is available for those 5 nights. If VB and the other resorts you want are available for all 5 of the nights, then it probably won't matter which ones you switch out first.

I might even ask MS which is showing more or less availability at that point and make a decision then.

If it were me, I think I would prefer to do VB after WDW (which we may do next year if we can get the rooms).

Good luck!!

Good Plan!!!

We did a split VB/OKW last year and we did VB first....DH didnt care for the order - he was very bored and full of anticipation to "get to the world" even though we were staying on a Disney property.

Our suggestion would be to do Disney first - then VB.

We did the Vero/OKW split this spring. Wasn't impressed with Vero - HHI much, much better resort and HHI is a great area. Vero was very nice, just not Disney - con't explain this. Good oranges, nice beach, I wouldn't take the grandkids (just me a my DW went this time).

We enjoy the WDW first and VB second. Most of our trips were 3 days WDW and 5 day VB. VB is a great place to relax after the rush at WDW.

As I said earlier...we did the WDW and Vero split. We were at Vero for 4 days after 9 full days at Disney. Our dd19 said she would have rather done Vero first. She felt Vero was boring and missed the "Disney feel". Our ds 16 and 11 enjoyed it a lot. After it was all said and done my dh said that the beach killed his feet. His exact words were "My feet are trashed". :rotfl2: He said he is looking forward to trying HHI. He said 3 days is plenty at Vero. It was relaxing after Disney. It was nice to actually get GOOD SLEEP and we felt refreshed when we left for home yesterday. I am still deciding on how I like Vero. There are things that were nice and things I didn't care for. Stay tuned for my report. ;)

I would recommend trying for an OVIR before going for the studio! They are HUGE and offer 2 queen beds rather than the sleep sofa. The are really nice. :thumbsup2 When we tried VB we did a week at BCV first then 3 nights at Vero to unwind.

Good to know that the OVIR are good size. I want to try a few nights at Vero next summer to see what it is all about (if I can get them for August at the 7 month window). DH only does ocean front when we go to the beach so those are the only rooms he would be interested in as we would have some view of the ocean.

Just have to ask, what was the beach like at Vero to "trash" DH's feet? :) I'm considering a trip to Vero next year either before or after our June WDW trip. We usually do a week of just HHI in June, but DD is dancing at WDW for a dance festival so I was thinking of maybe doing Vero instead of HHI. But can't make up my mind as our family LOVES HHI and their beach and I read mixed reviews of Vero both the resort and surrounding area. We stay at HHI for a week and still feel its not enough time, but I keep reading many posters saying 2 or 3 days is enough of Vero. I'll be interested in your report of Vero.
