DS bought me one for Mother's Day last year. I love it. It came in a box so it could "breathe". The arms and legs are articulated and its guaranteed for life.
The quality is really great. We have purchased them for St. Patrick's Day sent Get Well Bears to hospitals and I have received a birthday bear and Valentine Bear...Very Pleased!
We received one when DS was born. He is now almost 10 years old, and "Baby" still looks great. Of course he spends more time up on the bookshelf, but every once in a while, I'll find Baby Bear in bed with DS. The poor thing was drug around by his ear for almost 2 years.
That's so weird I was just looking at a catalog. DH bought me a Momma Bear and cubs for Miother's day a couple of years ago and they're still in great shape.
My DH bought me one for our first Valentine's day many years ago. It is a beautiful bear and very well made. He didn't get to see it until almost a month later and was very pleased with how nice it was for the cost.
Very high quality Some of the people at work sent me the "gangster" bear for my birthday one year because I love The Sopranos Well worth the money in my opinion....go for it
back a few years ago one of the local radio shows did tons of ads for vt and the dj's each got so many free bears a year. one of the dj's decided he was going to put vt 'to the test' on their policy that they could provide a bear for any occasion. so he ordered one for his female co-host's upcoming breast augmentation the bear ended up being adorable-dressed in lacy little panties and sporting two x shaped bandaids on it's chest
i saw a set of twin vt's that a co-worker purchased for her great nephews' christening. both were wearing beautiful christening gowns embroidered with each of the boy's names on them and holding a tiny bible.
Definately worth every penny! My mom sent me a pregnancy bear when I was preg. with my DS. After he was born, she sent a baby bear for him with his birthdate on it. Both are holding up very well.
My 2 oldest each got one for my middle dd's birth. 6 years later they are still perfect (sitting out, not really played with) and I love the bib with her name and date on.
I have two sitting here in front of me. I purchased one of them at the factory. It is the Holstein bear which is my favorite (the fur is like a cow). The other one I got from ebay. It was brand new in the box and I paid very little for it. I also have one in my closet for my niece that came from ebay. It's retail price isi $85 and I only paid $15 for it.
The bears are guaranteed for life. You can send a damaged bear to the bear hospital and they will either repair it or give you a free replacement. They show you some examples of damaged bears when you do the tour. There was a bear that had gotten shredded by a lawn mower. The only damage they will not replace is if you put the bear in a dryer. You can put the bears in the washing machine and then you are supposed to hang them by their ears to dry.
My mom was going to buy one for my DD when she broke her collar bone, by the time she got to shipping costs & the extremely long shipping time, she cancelled it and went to Build-A-Bear instead...very cute!
